Unlike any other secrets we had been to, this Italian restaurant experience was not so good. Long wait time to get service, food average, desserts tasted like they are bought from supermarket in a package and served, definitely not homemade, not good. The other disappointment was they don’t offer cappuccino that we always get at every secrets resort.

It has potential, however our experience was not good. We almost walked out a few times and went to the hibachi restaurant next door. We got right in, the section we were sat in the fam “was temporarily out of service”. We asked to move to the table with a fan, the hostess said no and then seated the group that came in behind us under the fan. The waiter was slow to say the least. Took him about 5 minutes to acknowledge we were seated and bring water, took another 10-15 minutes to realize we were out of water and had been ready to order. Didn’t want to take out orders right away until he finally brought the bread probably another 5 minutes. When the food finally came out it was mildly warm, which was probably another 30-45 minutes after we ordered it. Other than temperatures it was okay. Dessert looked nice but was disappointing. Hopefully everyone else has a better experience!

Located on the Secrets Wild Orchid Resort, one of maybe 7 or 8 restaurants. The atmosphere is amazing! Service is outstanding! We sat outside at sunset overlooking the ocean. For dinner I had the Salmone Grigliato (Grilled salmon, creamy saffron Rissoto top with shave garlic, bell peppers, kalamata fresh herbs and lemon oil). For dessert, I had the tiramisu. Everything was GREAT!

This dish was not on the menu. however Chef made it possible because my husband requested a special dish for my birthday. I never cleaned my plate for any meal but it was the first. Shrimp Alfredo with coconut cream, I can’t thank her enough for making my day so special.

We had dinner here while on vacation at Secrets Wild Orchid. The food was alright taste wise but I was not blown away by the flavor unfortunately. 4 stars for the service and how attentive our waiter was.

We are currently staying at the Grand Palladium resort in Lucea, Jamaica & are on our 4th day here at this beautiful resort. One of the main highlights of our trip so far has been dining at this restaurant in particular. The warm greeting/welcome we received from the reception & bar staff definitely set a nice tone to the beginning of our evening. Upon being seated we were asked of any food allergies. My partner has a food allergy which he mentioned & right from this moment and for the very first time my partner was reassured that they could accommodate this special dietary request, where usually my partner would feel restricted from ordering a majority of the meals from the menu due to his allergy.
We were immediately introduced to Chef Lacie (really lovely lady) who kindly came & introduced herself to us & suggested some meal choices that would be suitable for my partner, also paying attention to what he actually fancied rather than just what was on the menu.
I could tell that Chef Lacie prides herself on the food she serves to her customers & she offered to cook something off the menu suitable for myself & partner to enjoy. That extra little attention to detail meant so much! My partner was excited ha!
And to top it off….the food was AMAZING! the Steak melted in our mouths & the Shrimp pasta was absolutely delicious! We have now visited this onsite restaurant twice since staying here & intend to celebrate our 3rd year Anniversary at this restaurant too.
I feel we will be visiting a few more times before we leave as Portofino is definitely proving to be one of our favourite restaurants on the resort for many reasons.

The portofino restaurant was one of the best on the resort. Me and my family have been there twice on our stay. The waitress that we had cederika was amazing. The second time we came for dinner we requested her to be our server. She is very friendly and has a nice smile. She was very attentive and made sure we were okay. She is the definition of what alot of servers should be with customers. Out of all of the restaurants she was thee best server on this trip.

Waited over an hour for a steak , drinks are not good , food had nothing special , the only thing that was nice was the spot , Im surprised on how plain everything is for a resort this big
