Came in on a Saturday for lunch. Entered at 2:27PM
Ordered a potato skewer and 30 chicken wings. There was only one other patron in the store when I entered.
If you’re a regular consumer of Korean fried chicken, you know to expect to wait at least 20 minutes because the chicken is made to order.
It was almost an entire hour since we ordered our food and nothing had come out yet. We were getting ready to get up and walk out when the appetizer came out at 3:25PM.
58 minutes after ordering.
The wings came out several minutes later at 3:37PM
During this time, nobody came to pick up delivery orders or anything like that so it’s not as though the kitchen was swamped. They were simply not cooking.
The chicken itself was mostly pretty good but something tasted off about it. I can’t pinpoint what it was but we only ate half of our food and declined taking the rest to go. Maybe old oil or old chicken. I’m not sure.
The waiter who tended to us was kind.
Unlike other mad for chickens, this is just one big empty room with a big bright window. Felt like dining in a cafeteria. No decor on the walls. No theme. No vibe.
It could be worth noting that I didn’t see a single Korean person working either. Not a groundbreaking assessment, just kind of sus compared to every other Korean fried chicken place I’ve set foot in.
To sum it up, I see no reason to ever visit this establishment again. Neither the food, service, or vibes hold a candle to any Pelicana or the Mad For Chicken establishments in queens.

We went to the opening. It was amazing. The Carle Place restaurant’s hospitality was amazing. The staff was very friendly. It was a great vibe. Location is Central and the food was on point. LOVED Mad for Chicken!! The wings were absolutely amazing and honestly addictive. The kimchi fried rice and chicken teriyaki bowl were really good, but the bulgogi bowl was hands down the best…so full of flavor and easily the standout dish. We also ordered the vegetarian chicken for a friend, and wow… we genuinely couldn’t tell it wasn’t real chicken!
The vibe was fun and lively, perfect for a family hangout or a night out with friends. Definitely coming back!

Honestly I’m disappointed. I know it’s a new location and they are probably working out the kinks. However, only two people were working the floor (sitting people, bussing tables, taking orders and tending the bar) because of that our food came to our table cold. It’s possible they forgot or they were too busy to also run the food too. For two people we were there almost 2.5 hours start to finish. Most of that time was just waiting for the food to come. I’m a big fan of mad for chicken so this was slightly disappointing. I’ll return again later in the year, it seems they opened too early and weren’t prepared for a busy night.
