Fantastic! Great food and impeccable service, we popped in for an impromptu evening out and were treated to yet another wonderful meal.
The staff do everything they can to make you feel welcome and the food is fresh and tastes great. We have had takeaways from here in the past too which have also been amazing, would thoroughly recommend!

Absolutely amazing. Literally just finished my meal and had to make a review because I was so impressed.
Actually the best curry I have had in my life. Basically zero wait for a Friday night delivery (15 minutes max) food was well packaged, full of flavour and freshly made.
My highlight – The peshwari naan! It was incredible.
We will definitely be back here, hopefully to sit in the restaurant – very impressed, order from here, you will not be disappointed.

Love this place. The food is always brilliant. We have never had a bad meal. We have dined in, picked up & delivery. We cannot fault them. When, on the very rare odd occasion something didn’t go to plan, it was very quickly & promptly corrected. Couldn’t recommend The New Bengal highly enough.

We ordered from the New Bengal whilst round Connie’s for dinner, it was fantastic. The food was full of flavour, hot and perfectly cooked. Portions were generous and great value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the delivery was quick with everything arriving piping hot. Great Indian, highly recommended!!

We always order takeaway from the New Bengal. In our opinion it’s the best Indian in town. But this time was different. As soon as the online ordering service was open at 17:30 we ordered, knowing it was New Years Eve and they would be busy. Our delivery time was 18:39. When it had not arrived by 19:20 we called them. They were very apologetic on the phone. We were told that they were extremely busy and our meal was just being cooked and we should expect it in about 40 minutes time. We accepted this. It was clear when it arrived that it had just been forgotten about. It was cold. What disappointed us the most was being lied to. It’s not a cheap meal (included 10% tip). So disappointed.

We have used this restaurant for the past 3 years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. We visit in house 2-3 times a year on our birthdays and anniversaries. And have at least 1 takeaway a month. Always with 10% discount on collection. Wether eating in or take away the food is amazing. So tasty, generous portions and cooked to perfection. And very fairly priced. The mango and pistachio ice creams are always a must after the meal. The staff are always so attentive and nothing is too much trouble. They are friendly and professional but can still have a laugh and a joke about which adds to the atmosphere and ambiance. We have always booked before eating in as you can rarely get seated if you just walk in-a tell tale sign of just how good it is here. Very clean, and mellow authentic Indian decor throughout. Definitely recommend this place

Mac – the owner, and Shamah – the waiter (I hope I have spelt both correctly) are the absolute life and soul of this restaurant. I would recommend takeaway because the food is absolutely incredible but I think the service here is my favourite part of the experience. Dress like a king or wear your shorts and flip flops, it doesn’t matter, each of these gentlemen will treat you like the most important person in the room. I have been in to eat twice and I would (and often do) recommend this place to anybody that will listen. New Bengal is the pinnacle of high Street Indian restaurants and especially so in Gosport. I couldn’t be happier with everything I’ve experienced here. Excellent food, incredible service, and a meal that will leave you full but fully satisfied.
I couldn’t comment on the deserts because I’ve been far too full on both occasions. Extremely generous portions but perfect for loving and sharing. Thank you new bengal and special thanks to Mac and Shamah.
