I even enjoyed the passion fruit scone, though the blueberry scone and the PB&Jo cookie didn’t quite hit the mark for my taste. I would also skip the banana tiramisu latte next time; it leans heavily toward banana with almost no tiramisu flavor coming through.
The staff didn’t seem very knowledgeable based on my experience, but the food, the seating area, and the overall location definitely have a great vibe. It’s still a lovely spot to hang out and try a few unique items.
However, the samples were honestly pretty gross. Almost every single cake was dry, the carrot cake was a crumbly texture, super dense and dry. The cupcakes were clearly fresher and the texture was better, but the taste was not great even for those. The matcha cake had almost no matcha flavor, both it and the confetti cake tasted almost entirely of almond and nothing else. The lemon curd in the lemon cake tasted off. The chocolate cakes were the best, but those were still mid. Overall none of them were good and I feel like I wasted $40.
The taste testing box was huge, reasonably and obviously priced on their menus, and the slices were generous enough for three foodies to split for thorough taste testing. We decided on two different cakes, ordered in person and drew out the concepts for the cookie decorations on top, and they were ready to pick up the morning before our wedding when we needed to leave town.
The cakes were stunning, delicious, and a huge hit. Visually, they are just beautiful. The photographers and the guests agreed! Plus, knowing that we can go in and order our wedding cake any time we want is kind of wonderful. 🙂

Plenty of cute indoor and outdoor seating available. Wifi available too.
Don’t forget to try their sister location Collective Market that’s right next door.
Pastries we’ve enjoyed since 2019:
Chocolate potato donut (unique!)
Horchata donut
Tiger donut
Robinson crusoe salted chocolate chip cookie
Black sesame yuzu scone
Egg free options include biscuits, chocolate potato donut, butterscotch toffee cookie, scones
I’m not asking for a refund or replacement box. I just hope the owner sees this and makes a quality control change. I imagine most people purchase a cake tasting box to decide what cake flavor they would like to order for an event. Not just for fun like I did. I definitely would not have chose this bakery based on this tasting box.
My husbund and I also bought tickets for a donut making class earlier this year that was canceled 20 minutes before the class was to start. (We are still awaiting the refund for this)
I didnt see any contact us option the website.
The staff was very kind and helpful through the ordering process and pick up, as well.
We will definitely be coming back here for more cakes and to try their other treats!
I have a small 10lbs dog that i have always been able to bring into Decadence. My dog is handicapped so she rides in a dog stroller. I have never had her out of her stroller and the stroller is always completely closed up. It basically becomes an enclosed kennel for her. Again, this has NEVER been an issue in all of the years i frequent this business.
Well, today we went in, with our dog completely sealed up in her stroller, as always. I saw an employee notice my dog and smile at her. So they knew i had a dog with me. So we ordered two coffees and two sandwiches. We planned to eat inside because it was very cold, windy and rainy. However, AFTER we ordered, had sat down and got comfortable, waiting for our order, an employee comes over and tells us they don’t allow dogs inside. The employee said they could pack our order to go instead. So, they let us order, taking our money, but then they kicked us out. Why would you allow someone to order, knowing the dog isn’t allowed and still ask if we’re staying to eat, which we said yes, but all of a sudden the dog is an issue. So, since we ordered already, and THEN got kicked out, we had no real choice but to eat outside in the cold. We had walked there so we didn’t really have any other options.
I understand businesses are between a rock and a hard place when allowing pets. I understand there are laws and rules. But the way this happened was rude and was very embarrassing! In addition, there is absolutely ZERO signage ANYWHERE that says no pets allowed. I am happy to follow rules.. i get it. But to suddenly have an issue with my dog after YEARS of there being absolutely no issues AND to fail to post signs that pets aren’t allowed, i had to be embarrassed and kicked out of a business i have been very loyal to.
Very, very disappointed in Decadence and how i was treated. I guess i’ll go somewhere that can actually make their intentions/rules clear beforehand so that they don’t entirely embarrass their customers.
