We had a great experience at this Thai restaurant. The food was delicious! We ordered the Pad Thai, fried rice, and garlic chicken, every dish was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The fried rice was well-seasoned and not too greasy, and the garlic chicken was especially tasty, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with a rich garlic flavor that wasn’t overpowering. The portions were just right, and everything came out hot and fresh. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back if we’re ever on a road trip and passing through this city again.

Definitely we will be back when in town visiting my parents. The fish tank is an added touch. We dined in and had an amazing meal. Started off with Thai iced coffee and Thai coconut milk iced tea, then ordered the chicken red curry, chicken green curry, wonton soup and pork yellow curry. Impressed with the amount of veggies and meat in our curries, just superb! Was a busy Tuesday evening with lots of orders being picked up. The wait staff and cooks were fantastic and such positive energy.

This was our first time here and we were greeted by the sweetest hostess ever! Our server was Lauren and they gave phenomenal service. We got the pad Thai and the green curry they both were exceptionally delicious dare I say better than the Thai food I get in the Seattle area. Genuinely 10/10 experience. I dont know any of the staffs names but they hired all the right people, servers are so friendly, always have a good attitude, like they’re not just doing their job they’re going above and beyond here. Quality of the food never disappoints, if you’ve got money to spend, Sugar Thai is the first place you should be going. I used to make the mistake of only getting Pad Thai here, nah everything on the menu needs to be tried at least once.

We have been here a few times, but last night was the last time we will go.
Our server was only seen during our order placement. Then we overheard her saying she needs to take her break shortly after placing our order.
The appetizer was good, but our entrees were sub par. We ordered the Massaman curry with level 2 spice, but it was missing potatoes and had no spice whatsoever. The Seafood curry basket was ordered with a level 4 spice, but it overcooked and had absolutely zero spice. Both entrees came with rice that was obviously sat out for a while and was crunchy throughout.
During our meal, we never even had a single server come up to us and ask how everything was. We would have complained.
When the guy who replaced our server lady came up at the very end of the meal asked how everything was, we told him how it was missing ingredients and spice. He said the kitchen had been messing up and others have not gotten their appetizers before their meals….a sorry excuse for a mess up, passing the blame. When I asked what he’s gonna do about it, he stated that it will be better next time. No offer of compensation, or fixing anything.
This kind of horrible service and lack of concern for a repeat customer is why we will never go back there again.
I have been to many Thai restaurants, both stateside and abroad, and this place is the 2nd worst place here in the states.
If you want good Thai food, better service and care and concern about the customer, I recommend you go anywhere but here. Stay away from the places in Cle Elum as well, they are just as bad.
I highly recommend Bangkok Thai in Lacey, WA if you want authentic Thai cuisine with a passionate owner, authentic flavor and an overall great experience.

Such a great, unexpected Thai experience today!! I had luke warm expectations before I arrived for no good reason, but we were welcomed with absolutely warm hospitality immediately. The hot green tea came out quick and was perfect. The Pad Kee Mao with duck was the best I’ve had in a very longtime, if ever! The red curry was blasting with flavor! The Tom Kao soup was especially saturated with coconut magic! I don’t stop often in Ellensburgh on my way back from Seattle, but I will be now!!
