The last time I was in this diner was over a year ago. It has been renovated and it’s beautiful on the inside. and the food is outstanding!! I got the veggie pesto eggs benny and it was phenomenal! the corned beef hash was not to my standards, I think they use canned hash rather than fresh corned beef. I can’t wait to try their pancakes.

Taste Springfield was the perfect closure to two weeks of wonderful vacation in the northeast. We ordered the basics and a bonus cinnamon swirl pancake! You could taste the difference in the high-quality of locally, sourced, eggs, bacon, maple syrup, etc. The Service was very friendly everything came out precisely as hoped for! The diner is very clean and fresh and is reminiscent of classic old-time diners ! We look forward to coming back!

Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time! They were so friendly and the food was incredible! I had hash browns with cheese, eggs, bacon, and a side of hollandaise sauce – yum yum!!!

Amazing service- and a lively vibe! I had the H&H omelet and I gotta say it made a fan out of me, I’ll absolutely be coming back. I gotta give an extra shout out for the waiter too.
Unfortunately the table behind me had an angry lady who was being an absolute Karen over her toast being too toasty or some shit. She was being so rude and awful to everyone, yelling “rawr its a small town, refund me or I’ll hop on facebook and ruin you blahblahblah”
Honestly her complaint was uncalled for, which is why I’m now making this rating. But even under the stress she was putting people under- the staff were still keeping positive and were still attentive. Great place!

Ordered the hash and eggs over medium w a side of crispy bacon. I did not like the hash at all. It just wasn’t good. And I ordered over medium eggs and they were definitely very over easy. My bacon was like shoe leather. Waitress was great. Place was clean. Food was not good.

12-29-25 stopped for lunch. crowded but shown a booth in ~5 mins. Fantastic waitress Rebecca took our orders for drinks and food. Bit of a wait but worth it. Coffee refilled promptly & Rebecca gave us boxes for the leftovers. Leftovers being the result of plenty of great food, so home they went. Rebecca was a great waitress, she’s a keeper.

Food is absolutely delicious and you can tell that there is quality local ingredients used in every dish. The atmosphere is great and gives you the feel of an original diner. The service was spot on and the girls were very attentive and polite. My only reason for my 4 star rating js due to the available seating for someone with a larger than average body type. The booths need to have wider space between the table and the seats for a more universal comfort and fit.

Absolutely disappointed in the new Taste diner. We ended up waiting for a table for approximately 10 minutes, not to bad (no where to really sit and we stood in a cubby by the door.) Than we were sat, our waitress was quick to approach our table and grab our drinks. We waited for food for over 40 minutes! We watched tables that were sat AFTER us get thier food 10-15 minutes before we did! My husband ordered a sausage and egg Benny. Our waitress never asked how he wanted his eggs. We didnt think it was a big deal since any normal Benny is done with soft cooked eggs. After waiting for 40 minutes our food finally arrives. And he has basically a hard boiled egg on top of his sausage he took one cut into it and it looked disgusting! I had one cup of coffee, my waitress came up about 10 minutes after she had first filled my coffee asking if i was wanting a fill up, which at the time i didnt. Fast forward anther 10 minutes (i needed a refill) my cup was empty and our waitress no where in site….. my cup sat and the end of the table for over 20 minutes. The waitress at the table next to us ( the one who sat after us. Received food before us) was filling coffee. I had her butt right in my face when she was at thier table and she refilled thier coffees, but couldnt be bothered to turn around and offer the table next to hers coffee as well. Im sorry but ANY restaurant iv worked at, we worked as a team, communicating and helping each other tables out. They also use red potatoes for thier home fries not regular potatoes. We eneded up getting uo and leaving without touching our food! Our waitress didnt even come over once our food was delivered to see if it was alright. I was so excited to give them a try thier menu was huge and seemed great. Thier service or lack there of was a huge problem. I feel like our waitress was “forgetting our table” since there didnt seem to be any rhyme or reason to how the waitress tables were set up! Seemed to not have sections but just where ever the customer gets sat is where the waitress needs to go. Thats what I took from my observation. I didnt want to speak to a manger as I was ready to leave. It was an absolute horrendous experience and its going to be a long time before we give it another try. If we do ever agian! We loved the royal diner when it was owned by someone else, seemed to be far more organized. This place is going to fail quickly , especially if they dont fix thier issues!!! Again the absolute WORST experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant!!! I have never left and not even touched my food. We did offer to pay for the drinks but our waitress told us we were good. You guys really need to do a much better job!

It was our final stop in Vermont before heading home during the holiday weekend. My goodness, the place was busy! We had our pups with us, so we opted for takeout and despite how busy it was, they still had our entire order ready to go in under 15 minutes. The food was hot and fresh and made exactly as ordered.
