Prince Street Pizza in Chicago delivers a fun, memorable experience, especially with its celebration of the iconic Little Nero’s Pizza atmosphere in honor of the 35-year anniversary of Home Alone. The nostalgic theme was done really well and added an extra layer of enjoyment that made the visit feel special and intentional.

Overall, the establishment runs efficiently and professionally. The staff keeps things moving, the space is well organized, and the energy is exactly what you’d expect from a popular pizza spot in the city.

The only downside during our visit was that the pizza itself came out a bit cold, which was disappointing given how great everything else was. That said, the quality and vibe of the place still stand out, and it’s easy to see why Prince Street Pizza is such a talked-about destination.

A great spot for fans of pizza, pop culture, and Chicago food experiences — just hoping for a hotter slice next time.

Finally got to try Prince Street Pizza, and it definitely lived up to the hype. I ordered the Naughty Pie (loaded with crispy pepperoni and vodka sauce) and it was insanely good, the perfect balance of spicy, savory, and rich. The Fancy Prince was just as impressive, with fresh mozzarella and basil that made every bite taste extra nice.

Yes, the line was long, but honestly, it was worth the wait. Can’t wait to go back and try more.

Prince Street Pizza is definitely a standout amongst the very competitive and prideful pizzeria market of Chicago. Their refired Detroit style pizza and New York styles served up may throw your regular Chicagoan off, but I encourage a little adventure. It’s something different and pleasing.

Be advised that this is a standing room only dine in kind of place. Munching in the car or outside or at home are your options.

Both the round slice and the pan slice were delicious and super crunchy, and they came out quickly, just like what you’d expect for a NY slice shop.

My friends and I ordered 5 different types of pizza slices to try them out, and we all enjoyed what we had. While none of us would say that any of what we got were exceptionally spectacular, they were more than solid.

Specifically I tried the Mercer Margherita first, and I thought it was very good because the sauce had both savor and sweetness, and the mozzarella cheese tasted very fresh. However, the pecorino romano didn’t offer as much additional flavor subtlety, and as a result didn’t really distinguish the Margherita from the Vegan, which tasted almost exactly the same other than vegan cheese instead. The Oakey Smokey suffered from the same issue, tasting too similar to the two kinds I have just mentioned, since the sauce was also the most potent ingredient.

While my friends didn’t comment too much on their pizza slices, they enjoyed the slices. Overall it was a good experience trying this establishment.

I held off trying Prince Street in New York knowing there’s a Chicago location. This was genuinely so great I now feel obligated to try the original location. What a good dilemma to have.

An Amazing Pizza in a Tiny Spot, but Full of Flavor!

You know those places that are so simple you might just walk past them, but once you try the food, you understand why there’s always a crowd? I found a pizzeria exactly like that! The space is tiny, with hardly any seating – in fact, you’ll probably end up eating on the sidewalk or standing. But trust me, it’s worth every bite!

The pizza is thin, slightly crispy, super light, and packed with flavor. The balance of ingredients is just right, with no overwhelming toppings, and the best part: you can buy just a slice instead of a whole pizza. Perfect for a quick and delicious bite!

If you don’t mind eating while standing and are looking for a pizza that truly impresses, I highly recommend this place. I loved it and will definitely be back!

Prince St. Pizza in Chicago is an absolute must-visit for any pizza lover. From the moment you step inside, the energy is electric—the aroma of freshly baked dough, rich tomato sauce, and sizzling pepperoni fills the air, instantly making your mouth water. This place has mastered the art of bringing New York-style pizza to the Windy City, and they do it with flair, authenticity, and an uncompromising commitment to quality.

Let’s start with their signature Spicy Spring slice—this is what dreams are made of. The thick yet perfectly crispy Sicilian-style crust provides the ideal foundation for layers of flavor. Their signature fra diavolo sauce delivers the perfect balance of tangy and spicy, while the fresh mozzarella melts into a creamy, gooey perfection. But the real star of the show? That iconic, thick-cut pepperoni that curls up into crispy little cups, holding pockets of flavorful oil that add an extra punch to every bite. It’s the kind of pizza you crave long after you’ve finished the last bite.

Aside from their famous Spicy Spring, the Prince Perfection slice is another winner. This classic cheese slice is simplicity at its finest—fresh mozzarella, their incredible tomato sauce, and a crisp-yet-chewy crust that makes every bite satisfying. If you’re more of a white pizza fan, the Broadway Breadcrumb is a unique and delicious option, topped with ricotta, mozzarella, and perfectly seasoned breadcrumbs for an added crunch.

What truly sets Prince St. Pizza apart is their attention to detail. The crust is the perfect balance of crispy and chewy, the toppings are always fresh, and each slice is crafted with care. Even though they specialize in thick-crust Sicilian slices, their dough never feels heavy—it’s light, airy, and full of flavor.

Beyond the incredible food, the service is top-notch. The staff is friendly, efficient, and clearly passionate about what they do. Even when there’s a line (which there often is—it’s that good!), they keep things moving quickly while still making sure every customer feels welcome.

The vibe of the restaurant is casual yet vibrant, making it a great spot to grab a quick bite or hang out with friends. Whether you’re a Chicago native or just visiting, Prince St. Pizza is an experience you don’t want to miss.

Simply put, this is hands-down some of the best pizza in Chicago. Whether you’re a deep-dish loyalist or a New York-style purist, one bite of Prince St. Pizza will have you coming back again and again. Do yourself a favor—stop by, grab a slice (or three), and enjoy pizza perfection. You won’t regret it!
