We had a few kosher meals at Marty’s Place while visiting Charleston and loved it. The menu was fun and creative, and everything we tried was great. The staff was especially kind and welcoming to our young kids, which made a big difference for us while traveling. Such a great spot near the College of Charleston, we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town.

Good, “appears to be” inexpensive and I’m grateful for the vegan options …. but the portions are laughably small. Given the size, the price is not justified. Good concept but please at least fill the containers you’re using with food!

Great kosher restaurant in the middle of Charleston. Menu changes often and the food is always fresh and great. Prices very reasonable too, win win!

We are so grateful to have found Marty’s place! The restaurant is located in the university of Charleston campus, but is easy enough to find. The food was delicious and the service was great. An awesome option for a kosher consumer in Charleston. It is certified by the KCC.

The food was okay. The wait to get the okay food was very long. The atmosphere was loud and cafeteria style. It was pretty inexpensive.

They don’t deserve to be 4 stars they are always out of everything at the end and you never get your true order plus the computer system sucks . It is not a peaceful restaurant do to the yelling of the cashier calling out order numbers and it is made to look like it is clean but therefore it is actually dirty on the interior of the cafeteria.

Wonderful food that CofC students can use with their meal plan. The good tends to be really good, but because it is made only after you order, the wait can be quite long. It is all vegetarian and kosher food, with some vegan options, so the wait can be worth it based on your dietary restrictions. Just don’t expect to get your meal in less than 15 minutes.

Food was passable, would normally earn 4 stars or so. However, to put it simply, acted like it was a problem to order. After getting our food, we realized they had forgotten to give us a side that we purchased. Upon bringing it up nicely, was met by an extremely confrontational and rude employee.
Upon providing reciept, refused to provide the side that we ordered, and then the same employee came back moments later with the side, admitting she was wrong, however without any sort of apology.

Food was alright, happy to support the college, but absolutely terrible service. Openly confrontational and aggressive, when all I asked was “Hey. We ordered two vegtable sides but only gone one.”
