I am a long-time customer of this establishment and this place is hands down one of my favorite HALAL restaurants. The food is absolutely outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The ingredients tasted fresh and high-quality, and the chef/owner clearly puts real care into balancing textures and seasonings. Pricing for the delicious food you receive is very much worth it for the quality and portion sizes, and I left feeling it was well worth every penny. Overall, this restaurant delivers on every level: ambiance, service, and food. Highly recommend trying this place out!!!

This is one of those restaurants I purposely don’t go to all the time, just so the flavors stay special. Every visit feels intentional, the food is always fresh, balanced, and made with real care. The quality never slips, even after time away, and that consistency is rare. It’s not about trends here, just good food done right. This is the best Mediterranean food place in Clifton, NJ. The food is made fresh and so delicious and flavorful. The portions are huge at affordable prices. The hummus is so creamy and delicious. I had the falafel sandwich and the shish tawook sandwich. Wally the owner is such a nice person and instantly you feel like family. Highly recommend this place.

I came in from missouri and decided to try this restaurant from how much my niece raved about it and I’m so glad I did. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. Every dish tasted like it was made with real care. The service was just as impressive. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making me feel right at home even though I was visiting from far away. It’s rare to find a place that gets both food and service so perfectly right. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience

The stars have aligned. Schnitzel Express may be my favorite restaurant of 2025!
Amazing, and I still smell like bbq. Choosing to dine in, I was enthralled by their display of veggies. You get 4x selection of veggies with their Wally Mix Grill. Meat flame grilled to a perfection. Chicken shish, beef shish, chicken shawarma, and kofta. The smokiness of their flavored meat is a big win.
Falafel as a side was scrumptious and not too salty.
Chicken shawarma on top of hummus was my personal favorite. Flavorful, a great texture combination with juicy shawarma and smooth yet dense hummus.
Did I mention portion sizes were humongous? I have a meal for the next day or two that I’ll gladly consume.
I have to add that they get a lot of foot traffic. Good sign. Ingredient turnover must be frequent. Made me rest assured they are frequently cooking up fresh items. Their pricing is not bad. A lot of places that prepare similar cuisine are charging an arm and a leg for bbq now. You get to see them cook the meat in front of you too. Nothing is reheated.

Massive portions of some incredible food. Reasonable price and a lot of flavor. Very different from a halal truck. You get to choose several salad with you dish with add a healthy and delicious flare. Making it my business to stop here whenever I’m in the area.

The owner Willy is one amazing and lovely guy. The employees are really nice and friendly. The food is so authentic, delicious and Tasty and super flavorful. I love the schnitzel chicken it’s one of my favorite items on the menu. This place is a must try.

Good experience, I ordered the chicken pita shawarma. It was quite delicious, the bread and all of the ingredients felt very fresh. The seating inside is minimal, so it may be tough sit down with others, which is why I took my order to go. The interior is very nice. Only complaint I had is that our order took almost an hour which seemed a bit excessive. Would recommend a visit.
