We stopped in at the Golden Wok for lunch on Christmas. All of the staff we interacted with were very nice and helpful, even though the restaurant was packed. The atmosphere was great and all of the various dishes we sampled were fresh and delicious. Only thing I would point out is for people who love spicy food. They use a 1-10 scale with 1 being not spicy and 10 being very spicy. I ordered level 7 and it was not very spicy. Thus, if you like spice, would recommend level 10 or 10+.

We had a friend’s holiday gathering there today. It was my first time there. Everything was wonderful. The food and service was excellent. Generous portions and moderately priced. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in Grand Rapids.

This place is my new guilty pleasure. They have a great lunch special (even on Saturday’s). Mongolian beef is a great choice for your main!

Been going here for FOREVER and had never had a bad experience! Staff are amazing. Store is clean. Don’t listen to any negative reviews about this place. As an avid golden wok enjoyer I can guarantee that this place is the best Chinese food you can get in Grand Rapids!

The food was good. There were a few tough pieces of chicken in the General Tso’s chicken which I hate. But it was good and the sauce was good. I prefer my batter crispy though but in Michigan I guess this is what all I’ll get.
I didn’t care for the egg roll. It had a weird taste and was too greasy and the sweet and sour sauce wasn’t good as well. Service was good. All in all I’ll be back if I am ever in the area.

My new favorite chinese resturant! The Servers were very friendly and attentive. They immediately brought us hot tea and a carafe of water. We ordered lemon chicken, sesame chicken, and shrimp chop suey. So delicious!! The lemon chicken was the best I have ever eaten! So crispy with a lightly sweet lemon sauce. The sesame chicken was breaded lightly and not overly fried. The sauce was perfect! Shrimp chop suey had lots of big shrimp and veggies in a light garlic sauce. Food and service was all excellent! We will definately be coming back!

Favorite Chinese place in GR. Excellent across the board menu. A life hack when visiting, for vegetarians and vegans, is that they will let you sub tofu for any meat in their entrees. A bit pricey, but worth it.

This restaurant is super cozy, and the staff was friendly. Service and food were quick. I got the cashew chicken, Crab Rangoon, and the pot of tea. We were given a pot of rice to share. The tea was really good. The crab Rangoon was a little bland but it was piping hot and crispy. The dinner portions are generously sized. The cashew chicken was delicious and the chicken very tender. Will definitely be back again!

Over 20 years of coming to your restaurant on Christmas Eve and tonight was the first time we were turned away because you were to busy. No opportunity to wait or nor were we offered the ability to order take out. We landed at PF Chang’s and while it was our second choice it turned out to be a terrific meal and evening. Sorry but we most likely will not return on Christmas Eve again but that won’t matter because you are to busy for us.

I was first introduced to Shrimp Toast here and I was more than pleased. I will say that this recent visit for carry out was decent. The platter was slightly burnt but still delicious.
