I don’t know that the Chill Room is a hidden gem, because it was pretty crowded on a Sunday night. That happens to be their Poker night, so it makes complete sense. However, I think the staff, service, food, ambience, and kava are what make this place exceptional.
I had been to a couple kava bars but Colton did an outstanding job of explaining the differences between the Kava and Kratom and the effects. He even did a do-over when my guest finally arrived. With such insightful guidance, I went with his recommendation of the double dragon, choosing the green tea and a shot of kava. Colton may have okay taste in English football, amazing taste in Italian football, but his choices in drinks are unparalleled. The drink was delicious, not too sweet, and perfectly balanced. If I’m being honest, this was the first time I actually felt the effects of kava.
Outside, of Colton, the vibes are inviting and intimate, but not exclusive. The decor and music create a very relaxing atmosphere, which is conducive to the experience. There’s a pool table and game room, a stage area, and a bar, in addition to all the couches and seats around.
I didn’t have any if the food this time, but they have lovely cakes and pastries, as well a pizzas and bar food. If the food is as well crafted as the rest of the place, I’ll definitely be eating here next time.
It’s a bit of a journey for me, but the experience is well worth it. Will try to see what bands perform there and try to catch one that I like. If you’re looking for a place to relax and have a great time, the Chill Room OG location is the one you want.

I’ve been going to The Chill Room for over a year now. I’m there every Wednesday for open mic and always have a good time. If you’re looking for a place to relax then this is where you should come. The environment is very friendly. There are always familiar faces there. I consider a couple of the bartenders to be friends. I’ve introduced several friends to this place and now we’re among the regulars. They have a lot of games for customers to enjoy with friends such as Chess, Cards Against Humanity, UNO and many more. The owners are warm and welcoming and make sure that everyone is enjoying themselves.
If you love karaoke, I highly recommend you join us on Wednesday night. Open mic starts at 9, but if you wanna beat the crowd and be among the first performers, get there an hour or even half an hour earlier.

tbh I don’t usually write reviews especially when a place encourages it because that’s kind of fake to me, but the experience I had at The Chill Room in Lake Worth with my girl was on another level, and that’s entirely because of that dude Ian
From the moment we sat down, he wasn’t just taking orders, he was running that bar with intention, bro got it fr. His knowledge was elite. Whether it was kava, kratom, specialty drinks, food options he broke everything down clearly and confidently, to a point where I was thinking this guy owned the place. No guessing, no fluff. You could tell he actually understands what he’s serving and takes pride in it, bro needs to get a share of the stock or something.
What really separated him though was his attentiveness. He wasn’t reactive he was proactive 24/7. Dude scanned the room constantly, anticipating needs before we even asked. We never had to flag him down once. Even while juggling multiple guests, he made us feel like we had his full attention, and not in a “you need to buy something to be in here” type of vibe. That kind of awareness and composure is management-level service. And honestly kava bars typically have like creepy vibes where it’s like kind of weird and awkward 24/7 this place is completely different, I won’t say it’s only because of this guy but he definitely made a huge impact.
Alright last thing I’ll mention is the food, and keep in mind most bars just throw together freezer food. I can’t completely vouch for the food here because he made it and he could’ve been the main factor in it coming out really good, but he said it was good outside of that (I’ll come back and test it with a different bartender and see haha)
Anyways bro made me a sandwich that was straight up gassssssssss. Not “good for a bar” genuinely fire, I never could order something like this at Wawa, it was the Stromboli by the way with mayo, if you order something else don’t blame me lol. But yeah It didn’t feel rushed or thrown together, It felt intentional, bro went from barista to papa John’s to smoothie king in like an hour, when he made my girl an açaí bowl.
he customized it exactly to her liking and really made it like he was about to eat it himself. He asked questions, adjusted toppings, made recommendations, and dialed it in until it was perfect for her. That extra effort matters honestly cause most kava bartenders are high or drunk tbh this guy was alert on point and super cool. U can tell that bro actually wanted us to leave impressed. And we did.
That’s the difference between someone who works a shift and someone who builds loyalty, this is the type of guy I’d want to take from this company and get him hired somewhere else just off of morals and values and work ethic, definitely can trust him, probably gonna ask him for his number tbh. The energy he brought to the room elevated everything. Calm, confident, welcoming, but sharp and efficient. No ego. No laziness, just god level hospitality, bro is really built different fr.

Their new location is perfect! No longer congested due to it being a popular spot to catch up with friends, relax, and or have some down time to study. The staff are wholesome and the local goers are nice. They do well at accommodating those who don’t drink Kava as well making good coffees and teas so long as you work with them.
