Joe’s offers both wet and dry aged Prime beef and features a selection of bone-in signature steaks. Our signature Stone Crab claws are flown in from our fisheries in Florida and are served chilled with our famous Joe’s mustard sauce. The restaurant offers a wide variety of seafood dishes including seasonal specialties like Sockeye Salmon, Bone-in Halibut and Nantucket Cape Scallops. Joe’s proudly serves classic dishes from the original Joe’s Stone Crab in Miami Beach like Fried Chicken, Grilled Tomatoes and Jennie’s Mashed Potatoes. Went for a birthday celebration right before the snow storm hit and I am so glad we ventured out in the cold. Everything was exceptional from the moment we walked in. Great staff, AMAZING food and beautiful atmosphere. Will definitely take the trip from Baltimore again.

Pretty swank place that serves up seafood, steak and delicious desserts. While the atmosphere was really nice, it was overly crowded and somewhat pretentious. I can’t say the crab was remarkable either. The oysters were good and the steak was exactly at temperature. However, no part of the meal dazzled me enough to warrant hype around eating here. The servers were highly intelligent and very friendly, but I noticed that they were just trying to clear tables, so there were times when the support staff would come and just take things off of our table without asking even if we were still eating it, this was especially annoying with the appetizers. Would go again, but would not seek this place out.

Further, as someone with Celiac, I can truly say the restaurant went above and beyond to accommodate me, while also already offering a fantastic selection of gluten-free items that were actually celiac/allergy safe. My family and I had an excellent experience at Joe’s steak and seafood restaurant. Our server was attentive and made the evening very enjoyable. I ordered the sea bass and had Joe’s chopped salad to go with it. The glaze on the sea bass just made the dish that much better. Others in my party had the New York strip steak. Both were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We also shared some asparagus, sautéed mushrooms, and the lobster mac & cheese. The asparagus seemed under cooked (it was a little hard) but all of the other sides were perfect.
For dessert, we shared a slice of the Chocolate Fudge Pie, The Boston Cream Pie, and the Key Lime pie. I didn’t care much for the Chocolate Fudge Pie but the Key Lime Pie was simply amazing and I highly recommend it. The atmosphere was elegant, with the staff dressed sharply, though the restaurant was a little on the loud side. We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation and were seated right away without any wait, which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience.

I recently hosted a private dinner for 13 people at Joe’s. The execution of the dinner was exceptional. Our dinner coordinator for the evening made the event feel special with her attentiveness to my guests and her flawless timing on getting the food to the table. The food was delicious, absolutely 5 stars. Guests raved about it all, but especially the deconstructed seafood towers. If you are hosting a private event, it’s worth it to splurge for the seafood towers as an appetizer.

Joe’s is a pillar in the DC restaurant scene and doesn’t disappoint. The food was well-prepared, and the staff outgoing and knowledgeable. The portions are sized so you can actually finish what you order instead of dragging it home. Except for the fried chicken which you definitely want to keep for lunch the next day.

Nice spot, good happy hour but as a first time visitor was very hard to get the attention of bartenders. They tended to be completely occupied by regulars or long conversation with other Joe’s team members… but generally great happy hour spot to try!

We ordered drinks, a bottle of wine server came back with our drinks and then we ordered appetizers. He took our menus and bring them back after we ate our appetizers and told us we had to hurry to order as the kitchen close at 9:30pm. At this point we were not happy but made our choices quickly and ordered. The server comes back 5 minutes later and now told us if we wanted anything from the bar we had to ordere it now as well because the bar was closing as well…. at this point we were furious we had gone for dinner, spent over $1200 and we’re rushed. We were not expecting to spend this kind of money to be rushed to eat in less than an hour an half. Not the kind of dinner experience we were looking for. We should have been told that kitchen was closing at 9:30pm when we made our reservation for 8:30. Poorly handle.

This restaurant delivers every time in every single one of their locations! We have tried them all. The experience at Joe’s was top tier— the ambiance the energy there are conducive to a good dining experience. Our server, Patrick was incredibly professional, prompt, knowledgeable and efficient. He made our dining experience memorable. He checked in regularly and he was very personable and funny, he puts the serve in service! The food was another highlight, talk about the presentation, the flavor, the portions and the price, everything was perfect! I especially appreciated how the team worked together to make dining memorable- once used, the utensils were replaced with cleaner ones, and someone always quickly removes crumbs from the table, like magic! plan to return soon. Eating at Joe’s is dining done right!
We returned as promised ( 2 days later) and everything was super consistent! Again Patrick was our server and again he delivered on our expectations, and yet again the food was stellar!We have never experienced such attention to details and service at such a high caliber in any restaurant. I truly hope that the ‘ powers that be’ understand the importance of the role Patrick, and others, play in his/ her dining establishment, especially since competition in the food industry is so rife. Patrick is a gem! As you well know, customer service can make the difference for any service business. Patrick clearly mastered the art of customer service , which proved why we returned so soon.
