Today I have tried my first Cottage Trash Plate and I would rate 8.5/10. If we don’t mention about the presentation of the food (accurate to the name), Cottage Trash Plate was an absolute joy. And ladies who are servers were very helpful, chill and pretty. I saved this place to my secret getaways.

We absolutely love the Cottage Hotel! Such a long history in our community. The owner is such a wonderful person and is typically working when we have stopped in. Their new Gluten Free fryer has been a very popular for those with food allergies like me. The food and drinks are always great and the staff is always very friendly! Seating outside in the summer time for good weather days!

Full house upon arrival and we were told the kitchen was backed up, but they could seat us and serve drinks. Once we ordered, the food came out fast and was delicious! Grilled peach arugula salad with salmon was TASTY! $21. Genny Kolsch $5 a pint. Bud light $3.50 to me that’s fantastic!

The downside was it was a tad warm inside on an 86° day, but with my handheld fan I was very comfortable. And yes, there was a wait to order but not a problem since we were kept informed.
Would definitely return.

Got into town around 10:30pm on a Sunday in late July. Unfamiliar with the area, I called to find most kitchens closed. The young woman on the phone at Cottage, honestly let me know the kitchen was closed except fried apps would be available. I walked in and the bartender, Michaela, greeted me with such warm hospitality. I got the food that I wanted with some suggestions from her. I had a really good time, great conversation with Michaela, felt welcomed and left full.

The waitresses are all so friendly and helpful. Every one of them is happy to help; I’m not sure they have assigned tables. Dan makes a PERFECT lemon drop martini and their food is much better than you’d expect for a tiny local bar. Their chef comes up with some wonderful dishes. I love their fish fry!

We went for the Friday fish fry. Anne’s fish was okay but it was served on parchment paper that laid on a cookie sheet. The parchment paper disintegrated with the moisture and
stuck to the fish. It was hard not to eat it. The volume on the music was cranked up. Therefore, the voices of the guests were extra loud. We tried to have a conversation but gave up. I had lamb chops with an unbelievably wonderful bourbon and black cherry glaze sauce.
