Seriously this place is worth the trip. The chicken fried steak was perfect. Everything made fresh. Perfectly done okra. Just great. 10 out of 10 will definitely go again

Came here to try it out for the first time. We were early; about 10:55 to be exact and no wait to be seated. Service was excellent and very friendly. I had the fried chicken sandwich and hubby had a burger. Tots were really good and crispy. I have to get ranch (I’m a Texas girl) and ranch was great. Several items to choose from and steak ribeye on the weekends- will come back to try that next.

I just finished a wonderful Thanksgiving meal at this hidden gem in central Texas. Instead of waiting in the long line outside, they called me to let me know the meal was ready for take-out. The stuffing was sweet, so good. I loved the turkey. Get away from the corporate restaurants in Waco, the ones without any soul. Head to Ogelsby, Texas. The price of the food still astounds me. I highly recommend this friendly restaurant. These places are hard to find, but at least I know where to return for an excellent meal. I have not tried the homemade pies yet. They sell the pies on the weekend because of the volume of pies they make. They know how to make real pies, the ones that have meringue instead of God-awful whipping cream. This is how my grandmother used to stuff the family, comfort food.

We stopped by for the first time today and this place is AWESOME ! The tall, BEAUITFUL waitress is so lovely and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was phenomenal; we ordered the lunch special !! The boys cooking REALLY know what they are doing. Our food looked and tasted homemade; fresh, hot, crunchy, creamy, zero fake flavors….my goodness and the sweet tea! That sweet tea was so flavorful and not too sweet; we will absolutely be going back.

We went today for the first time & by the appearance of the diner you’d think the food was great but honestly I wasn’t Impressed at all. After we got seated the lady was super nice but after we all got our food and started eating attitudes changed. I was saying that I didn’t like the food cause it was too salty and I assume the other waitress heard me and made a remark and walked off, call me old fashioned but usually when a customer has an Issue with the meal the owner or management tries to make it right by refund or giving you other food options but they didn’t seem to care. we got desserts (the lunch special came with a dessert) we where not advised that it was only a specific dessert until after we ate them and then proceeded to charge us for them. all we dod was said “oh ok we weren’t told that it was specific ones” and the lady whom I’m guessing was the owner seemed like she got a bit heated & with attitude says “you know what you can just have them.” Checking out was with a different employee whom snatched the ticket out of my young daughter’s hand. Now IDK how you can have a successful business treating customers this way & they all had attitude especially the hispanic lady, her attitude started when i asked for ranch. They did sing Happy birthday to my husband which was nice. The overall experience wasn’t good and we won’t go back and will be honest with others If they ask how It was. Sad.

Love the small town atmosphere. The service was great and fast. The food was very good. I got the special. Big Texas Tator Bowl. And Grandma’s greenbeans. I’m not a big fan of greenbeans, but I know Grandma’s know how to make them. And she did. They were really good. Their burgers looked amazing, and I will probably get that next time.
