Had a carryout chicken dinner x2,, pecan pie n strawberry rhubarb. Gr8 chicken, as always, and good pie as always, but must admit the pie crust was the best I’ve had in a long time. Went here for Mother’s Day. A tradition we’ve done for several years. The fried chicken was delicious, and the salad bar was good. So if you go, I’d suggest the fried chicken. Enjoy your meal!

So our plane from Punta Gorda, Fl landed at Mid-America Airport at 7:30am yesterday and on our way home from Spring Training 2020 (go Cards!) at 8:30am we stopped at the Lantern Pub in Ashley,il for food and they had ready to eat from the most amazing salad bar we have ever seen. EVER SEEN EVER. It’s worth the 1/2 hour drive from Mt.Vernon,Il if you love salads. It comes with a soup of the day. Yesterday’s soup was chicken noodle. And no they didn’t comp me for this review.
