On the Border in Fair Oaks Mall is really good. I like the fast service. Ambience is good, music is good and best thing is happy hour. You get $5 Margaritas during happy hour. If you have never been here then use yelp checkin offer to get free Signature Queso it is amazing.
They give free chips and salsa. My favorite is Chimichangas I take it every time I am here.

When we first arrived there was no one at the hostess counter and it took at 3-4 mins to be acknowledged and get a seat. But after that the waitress was great and the food was delicious. This is probably one of most favorite places to eat at Fairoaks Mall.

After a long time not being in this place, I felt this is the last time. The last time there it was not great, but this time is the last for sure.
The service was not so great! The server was moving around with no mask ! She was saying comments not so great ( like don’t take much time to order!! )
The food was super late in spite of was not full, the food was super bad and we all had stomachache and diarrhoea after that !!
This time it was not a nice visit ! As a person eat outside on regular basis, this place for sure is out of my list.
The shrimp was still not done
The dishes was not freshly made !

The food was good and pocket friendly….our food came to the table sizzling hot….my husband and i loved the food….the wait time for the food is more than average but they give you chips and salsa to munch on…i couldn’t stop eating the chips before my food came…the service was good but little slow…would go back again

The food wasn’t bad, per se, but it was not really good either. Everything was in its own container like a TV dinner and I had to put it together. Kind of expected a hot dish to eat from, not cold ingredients separated from the warm, molten nachos. Disappointing.

Located in the mall, On The Border was a good, reasonably-priced restaurant with an average selection of dishes.
My family needs gluten-free options and their QR code menu detailed all sorts of allergen information. All three of them found something tasty and satisfying. My dish was equally as good, though it’s nothing I haven’t had before… And better… For the same price point.
Our waitress was patient and quick to help, though the restaurant was mostly empty when we visited. Regardless, we were certainly pleased with the service.
Drinks were standard fare, again, middle of the line, but they were also not too expensive so I can’t complain there!
I’m the end the meal was quite good and in our price range, though for the same bill, we could’ve gone to a range of other places. On the flip side, it’s in the mall and convenience is often king.
4/5 for the price, standard food and good service. Not going to win any awards, but that’s OK! We all left full and satisfied!
