Greenwoods Breakfast / Brunch and lunchroom on the Singel canal was founded on the 15th of September 1988 by Australian Gabrielle and Janet, it was an instant success! In June 2010 Daniel took over and re-invigorated the venue, and introduced a few classic English breakfast options that you will recognise, Eggs Benedict anyone? We work hard to constantly push the boundaries of delicious-ness with our menus which change each season along with doing our best to provide customer centered service at a high level!

Really nice seating are with canal view and heating outside but no smoking is allowed. The waitress was super kind and friendly. The French toast was delicious but I think it was a bit dry. The New York pastrami order was nice but average overall, the extra potato cake was nice and crunchy . Banana chocolate pancakes were super fluffy and filling. 1 person tea was enough for 2 people and it was very tasty. I would definitely come again!

My group of friends absolutely loved our visit to Greenwood’s Singel! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding; fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavour (one of the best breakfasts we had in Amsterdam). Great drinks, generous portions, and a relaxed vibe by the canal sat under a heater outside; make this place a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back! Be sure to be early at opening time as the queues can be long – we got lucky and were seated straight away.

Just back from amsterdam and found this lovely little gem of a place for a really good “english” breakfast with a “dutch” twist. (rest of the menus looks pretty delicious too).
We actually sat outside as it’s quite snug inside and gets really busy but despite it being december, they have a canopy with heat lamps so was really warm and comfortable.. they even have blankets if you need some extra insulation.
Breakfast was amazing, portions were generous and everything was cooked to perfection.
Girls on service are lovely, welcoming and warm hearted.
Will definitely be back again next time we visit.

We were lucky that a couple was leaving just as we arrived, so we got a table without waiting.
The menu is extensive and varied.
We ordered two flat whites, which were delicious.
Then I ordered the eggs Benedict with hash browns (it literally came with half a hash brown for an extra 3.50, not worth it) and my friebd ordered the veggie.
Both dishes were tasty, and the portions were generous.

Amazing brunch spot! My partner and I indulged in a feast here, and we couldn’t have been more satisfied. Super tasty food, a wide variety of dishes, and a cozy, quaint interior. Highly recommend!

The food was good. Beans with breakfast is not my cup of tea 🙂 but the sevice was good and I love the bread. Also the cutest waitress gifted me the mint tea for a little inconvenience. The place is little too small foe cold weathers since you wouldn’t want to sit outside.
