The meal began with beautiful appetizers that were both creative and flavorful. The crispy bites paired with fresh avocado and savory sauces were perfectly balanced, offering a delightful mix of textures and tastes. Each dish was carefully plated, showing attention to detail that elevated the entire experience.
The servers were great, especially Jane, the service she provided was great, and really made the experience.
One of the highlights was sharing desserts together. The cake topped with whipped cream and the colorful mochi added a sweet and playful ending to the meal. Every bite felt comforting and indulgent, making the moment even more memorable.
Beyond the food, what truly made the evening special was the time spent together. Sharing laughter, conversations, and smiles around the table created a warm family atmosphere that turned dinner into a cherished memory.
Gyuzo Japanese is more than just a restaurant — it is a place where delicious cuisine and heartfelt moments meet. It was an experience filled with flavor, joy, and connection, leaving us excited to return again soon
The culinary highlight was undoubtedly the Wagyu, overseen by Juan. It is rare to find a chef with such an intuitive command of the grill. Juan’s technique is masterful—he treated the marbled cuts with immense respect, delivering a sear that was perfection. His service was remarkably attentive, ensuring each course arrived at the absolute peak of its flavour profile.
The fluidity of the evening was maintained by the seamless contributions of Keth, Kristy, and David. They operated with quiet, synchronized efficiency, a hallmark of a truly elite service team. Their presence was felt but never intrusive, anticipating our needs with a level of intuition that made the entire experience feel bespoke.
Underpinning this entire operation is Robin, the manager. It is clear that Robin’s discerning eye for detail is what elevates the evening from a mere dinner to a curated event. The leadership is palpable, resulting in a dining room that hums with a sophisticated energy.
Amanda also suggested drink pairings that elevated the whole experience. Each recommendation complemented the flavors of the meats beautifully and made the meal feel curated rather than just ordered.
The food’s great because they only served high-quality meat, super delicious sushi, and mochi.
The place is really busy so it’s better to reserve in advance. It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth it! Gyuzo Japanese BBQ is highly recommended.
Best dishes to try in AYCE: Wagyu Chunk Roll, Dynamite Shrimp, Squid, Premium Short Rib (I rate this even better than the limited Wagyu short rib)
