Casual pizza joint (with patio seating) known for its generous slices & thin crust pies. Cash only.

I consider myself a casual pizza snob. I have a pizza tattoo on my leg. I looked up the must try pizza spot in Savannah and Vinnie’s came to the top of the list. The outdoor to go counter is a great efficient setup! We arrived shortly after opening (4PM) and were able to order and get our slices fairly quickly! We did step inside to use the restroom and the dining area and bar are very nice and roomy! The pizza was worth the hype. The slices are HUGE (hand for scale lol). The crust is well made and cooked great. The sauce has a great taste and slight sweetness to it. For the size of the slices, the prices are AWESOME.

We found the overall dining experience to be exceptional. The pizza itself deserves special recognition; it is arguably the best in the whole town. Our server provided top-tier service, ensuring our needs were met promptly. Crucially, the food preparation was very quick, meaning the wait time was minimal. This spot is a winner, and we look forward to making it a regular stop whenever we’re back in the vicinity. GO!GO!

Our go-to pizza place in historic Savannah. Everything is good and decently priced. The staff is friendly. There’s usually a wait and they have to-go orders now, which is nice. High rec for lunch, not dinner. There are tables inside and outside. Gets kinda cold in the winter, and the bathrooms are upstairs!

This place is definitely a hit. If you are in the area and looking for a great slice of pizza then you have to come here. This is like NY pizza but definitely bigger. The ambiance is is eclectic, its still has the old school feeling with the nostalgic. Definitely a great spot .

Ordered online half cheese half pepperoni. Wait said 30-45 minutes and it was a ten minute walk so I left immediately and waited outside the pickup window until 50 total minutes since I placed the order. I asked and they walked to the back and found it. at least 30 minutes standing there and my order was never announced. other people ordered and some got their food, service seemed otherwise fine, perhaps a one off service thing.
the pizza was good and a reasonable size, with tip it was just under $30. maybe a little overpriced but not much considering I got three meals out of this with some leftover. two pies feeds 6 people easy, possibly 8. the sauce was tasty but not overpowering, the cheese was just cheese. the crust had good character. the pepperonis were as expected. kinda worth a stop if you’re in the area.

I ordered a single slice pizza with sausage, peppers and mushrooms. It’s very reasonably priced and huge! I’m picky about my pizza, but really liked this one. We sat on the patio and felt service was a bit slow. When we weren’t ready to order the first time she came by, it took another 10 minutes for her to stop back by, which felt long for such a casual restaurant. I’m not sure what the inside looks like, so it could have been very busy in there at that time too. The patio was very crowded and we could hear all the convos going on around us. If I were to go back, I’d probably order to go and maybe picnic somewhere.

Tried Winnie Van Go-Go in Savannah and loved it! I had the white sauce pizza with olives it was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The crust was just right, and the white sauce gave it a nice creamy twist. Paired it with a sweet tea, which was refreshing and perfect for the warm day. The van setup is super cute and gives off great vibes. A fun and tasty stop highly recommended!

This is the best place for a low key, no fuss, pizza place. They’ve never let me down. Pizza is excellent, staff is great and beer selection is nice. Even though its in a tourist area, many locals visit here. It is that good.

This place is a Savannah classic hit. Pies, by the slice, beer and much more. Just about every time we stop in to Savannah we have to stop. The pizza is NY style, fold it and enjoy. Not to spicy, and very flavorful.

I’m so disheartened to be writing this review. I was genuinely excited to have this pizza again during our most recent trip to Savannah, but it’s definitely not the same incredibly delicious pizza we enjoyed in 2022. I even went back to look at the pictures we took of those perfect thin NYC-style slices back then. Sadly, what we had this time was far from good.
