Absolutely fantastic New England BBQ and fantastic service. We stopped here for lunch on our way to Harpoon and enjoyed a very modestly priced feast of ribs, chicken, brisket, and sides. The proprietors were wicked accommodating and the service was fantastic. Keep in mind, this is a classic BBQ stop with outdoor seating at picnic tables, but there is an overhanging tent for rain (and it did rain the afternoon we were there). As we were told when we arrived, good BBQ doesn’t need to hide behind the sauce, and Vittles BBQ stands-out with or without their delicious sauces. I highly recommend stopping at Vittles if you’re in the area!

I love barbecue, have a smoker and many friends in the business.
I try and stop by barbecue places that I come across whenever possible. The folks are always nice and the barbecue is usually not that good. Sometimes, somehow, their “smoked” ribs have NO smoked taste. They may say that they dry rub, but I can’t taste it. The ribs require sauce, which, to me, is a very bad sign.
Vittles has some of the very best pork ribs that I’ve EVER had! Smokey, cooked perfectly, a rub that makes you eat the ribs like candy (they don’t need sauce).
The chicken was smokey, super flavorful and delicious.
Unique, wonderful side dishes. They have something called “Fried Cornbread” that is like a hush puppy, but lighter, moister, and bursting with flavor.
The downside is that, at least when we visited, their was only one outdoor picnic table so you may have to order to go.

Best BBQ you can get. They are good down to earth people who know how to cook. If they are barefoot, more chefs should be then! maybe that would make more food taste this good. Wish I lived closer.
