On 12/13/25 my husband and I went to J Pot for the first time and Leilani who helped us with our order made the experience so enjoyable. She was so kind, helpful, and really took her time walking us through the menu and answering all our questions. She made us feel so comfortable and welcome. Amazing service, the food was tasty, and overall great first impression on the restaurant! We’ll definitely be back!

A phenomenal experience here. I wasn’t sure what I was coming into when I walked in. I came the other day for lunch, but it looked like there were a lot of steps detailed rather than just an all-you-can-eat. I’m glad I came back because there are definitely a lot more steps. You cook your own food in front of yourself. I came for lunch, and the options are a bit different for lunch or dinner, or you can upgrade to have the entire thing. I thought it would be a little bit pricier, but for everything you get and all the options, it really is a good value. I’m sad I came alone because this is definitely a great experience to have with someone else. This would make a perfect date night or just great family conversation while you’re cooking and enjoying fresh food in front of yourself. All the vegetables were fresh, and there were lots of options for sauces to add to your soup or any of your meals. The service was great, and they explained everything throughout the menu and our options. I definitely recommend coming to this place, and I would come here again and again when I come to the San Antonio area.

We recently visited JPot for our family’s first hot pot experience, and it did not disappoint. We came for the kbbq as well and were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic variety of options for both hot pot and Korean BBQ, plus appetizers and even desserts.
What stood out the most:
Amazing variety: A great mix of meats, veggies, broths, noodles, and fun sides for hot pot and kbbq lovers alike. We even found some delicious dessert options like ice cream to cap off the meal.
Desserts galore: The dessert selection was a perfect finish to our meal—ice cream that hit the spot after all the savory goodness.
Our fantastic server, Juan: He knew it was our family’s first time and took the time to explain how everything is cooked, what tastes best together, and the best cooking approaches. He was incredibly detailed, patient, and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed and even sparking great conversations throughout the meal.
Family-friendly value: It’s a huge bonus that kids 1-7 eat free, which made the experience even more enjoyable for our family.
Convenience:
The location is super convenient right off the freeway, making it easy to get to and from.
Bottom line:
Everything about JPot felt 5-star-worthy, from the variety and quality to the attentive service. I will absolutely be back and will recommend it to everyone looking for a fantastic hot pot and kbbq experience.
If you’re new to hot pot or just looking for a solid family night out, JPot is a must-try.

First time at jpot, LIliana was great and very knowledgeable about the process , her recommendations were awesome and she was super friendly and attentive throughout our meal, as for the atmosphere and cleanliness owners could do a better job cleaning floors and under the tables, but overall Lilianna was great !

Service: 5⭐️, First and foremost, our server Reagan went above and beyond, and honestly tied the whole experience together.
Food: 3⭐️, some of the usual picks, like the beef bulgogi and pork belly, it’s kind of hard to go wrong, but I ranked food lower because their grill style honestly leaves a lot to be desired. It’s open flame with a grill grate that doesn’t seem to distribute heat well and food sticks because you can’t really oil the grill (it shoots through the grates lol). There are a lot of vegetable options which is nice.
Atmosphere: 4⭐️, I’ve noticed that a lot of these places like KPOT are really cold inside for some reason. JPOT was very comfortable, it wasn’t too loud and wasn’t overstimulating.
All in all, I rate JPOT a very generous 4 ⭐️, really because how good our server Reagan was. Not my preference for the actual grill portion since there’s only 1 hot part of the grill and it gets charred super fast.

JPOT is an incredible spot for Japanese BBQ where you get to cook your own food right at the table, making the whole experience both fun and interactive. The meat is absolutely delicious—well-marinated, tender, and full of flavor. Our server was outstanding: attentive, friendly, and very patient, taking the time to clearly explain how everything works so we could make the most of our meal.
They offer several dining options, but we went for the BBQ, which was the highlight. There’s also a fresh vegetable bar and a dessert bar, adding even more variety to the experience. And the flights—beautifully presented and bursting with flavor—were simply spectacular.
Overall, JPOT combines amazing food, top-notch service, and a unique dining concept that makes it a must-visit.

I went for the first time on a Saturday night and really enjoyed the experience. Our server was Giselle and she was SO sweet! She made everything go smoothly. The food was good; on par with most other chain hotpot places. As long as I have tom yum broth and fish balls, I’m happy. The veggie options were a little limited but they had the typical hotpot staples. The sauce building options were very good though! Having chicken wings in the appetizer selection was great. My only complaint was that the bathroom was …. a bit of a disaster. It’s dingy and dark and the for was extremely sticky. The counters were completely covered in water – probably from the ‘stylish’ sink designs. But I’ve been in worse bathrooms and survived so it’s less of a problem for me honestly. Overall, a decent hotpot place. Trust Giselle’s recommendations and you won’t be let down.

This was our first experience at a Korean bbq here in SA. The service was great but, there is a long wait. I recommend downloading Yelp and making the reservation ahead of time. They have a great sauce bar that also offers desert and small salad options. The food was good. Unfortunately we felt it did lack some flavor or marinating. We only tried the BBQ but, look forward to trying the kpot next time. I would recommend for a younger special occasion.

I brought my girlfriend for her birthday and we had a nice time. The food was high quality, sauces were great, and macarons for dessert were delicious. I will say the ice cream bar was a bit subpar, but overall the experience was great. Nicole our server was such a delight. She explained the menu well and had great recommendations. Definitely ask her to be your server if you stop by
