Started with a generous portion of Caesar Salad very flavorful dresses and mixed well, wonderful crunchy texture from the greens to the garlic breadcrumbs, thought I tasted a hint of mustard which was a nice spice, but not sure it had it might have been the breadcrumbs.
Ordered the Hwy 1 pizza, had a great variety and amount of toppings and can definitely taste the fresh ingredients topped with that light char of the dough from the oven.
Ended lunch with a delicious, creamy and light Banana Walnut Crumble for dessert, it was a marry between banana bread and banana pudding.
Service was wonderful, even with all staff making sure they were attentive to dining,walk-in and to-go guest, delivering orders, arranging tableware, we were never unattended, never went without refills on beverages or clean plates and napkins for each course.
Noise was mild and comfortable
Had a great experience
Parking was a little difficult but this place was worth it.
Definitely has one of my highest recommendations and will be coming back!
Excellent quality,
exceptional taste,
joyful thorough satisfaction..
(pan fried leftovers and all)
We’ve tried each vegetarian pie, and they were each fantastic, although a regular favorite choice for the whole family is the Mia Mushroom and Burrata with some added spice and sweet pineapple
The tiramisu itself is something to come for, hard to come by so authentic dessert.
Equally delicious is my wife’s favorite, the banana pudding.
Salads are surprisingly very abundant and satiating.
A great place to bring family and to recommend to any one.
Thank You to the whole team for sharing in making of good happy times!!!
I appreciate their process of dough preparation starting with Biga and 24 hrs of cold fermentation…and New Haven style… so I got my curiosity and expectations worked up …
We ordered 1/2 hwy 1 and 1/2 vampire with the same red sauce, 4/5. The pizzas were very good. The crust is thin and chewy. The rim crust is not highly/largely puffy, crispy on the rim but soggy for the rest crust. 2 different toppings gave different flavors and textures but all good. My favorite one is the Hwy 1 without bell peppers but added the green olives which let the sausage shining brighter.
The simple salad was very good, 3/5. I would add some crunch like chopped cucumbers and more cherry tomatoes. Can also add pears or apples to give a tart, sweetness and crunch to complement the gorgonzola.
The service was great. We appreciated the co-owner Marco serving us beers and spent times talking with us. Our server was great.
We would pick this joint over Truly pizza in a heart beat. Definitely will come back and try the other ones.
The staff were very professional and welcoming, and the vibe of the restaurant was cool, comfy, and inviting. Being so close to the Dana Point Pier makes it an easy must-visit spot. We really enjoyed everything about our visit and will definitely be coming back!
Beyond the incredible food, the atmosphere is so welcoming and happy. The staff is genuinely friendly and makes you feel right at home. It’s clear they love what they do, and that positive energy is contagious.
I can’t wait to go back and get another slice of that amazing pizza. This is definitely my new go-to spot!
Service was pleasant and efficient. We started with a salad from the good selection they have. Ours was a basic salad and was good. We then ordered pizza – pizzas are all one size and they are large (15 inch?). However, the pizza is where I was disappointed. It could simply be the specific pizza we got but it came with a lot of arugula on top and really didn’t feel like a pizza. And didn’t taste like a good pizza in my opinion. I also wasn’t thrilled with the crust, but again, it could be the choice of pizza, maybe I should go back and get a margarita and edit the review!
Again, I wouldn’t discourage anyone from going here – they have great reviews. In fact, as I have written, maybe I should go back too just to try a more traditional pizza before making a final recommendation. But if you are a purist, I would recommend you stay away from the arugula topped pizza.
