I visited Fiamma Wood Fired Pizza recently with a friend for what we hoped would be a satisfying, quick bite. While the company was great, the restaurant itself left much to be desired, resulting in a decidedly average experience that I’m rounding up from 2.5 to 3 stars purely for the enjoyable evening with my friend.

Walking in, the first thing we noticed was how cramped the dining area felt. Tables are placed quite close together, which can make for a noisy and somewhat uncomfortable atmosphere. Our initial table hadn’t been wiped down from the previous guests, which was an immediate red flag. We quickly moved to a clean table ourselves. Service was sporadic; our server was prompt in taking our drink and food orders but then seemed to disappear. We weren’t checked on after our meals arrived, and getting a refill on water or the check required catching someone’s eye. It felt very transactional. A major heads-up for future diners is that Fiamma is a BYOB establishment, as their on-site drink options are limited to water and sodas. I highly recommend bringing your favorite wine or beer to complement the meal.

Unfortunately, the food was a mixed bag. We started with the Calamari Fritti, which was underwhelming. The main issue was a serious lack of seasoning beyond a heavy hand with the salt, and the calamari itself didn’t taste fresh; it had a slightly rubbery texture. I ended up eating only a few pieces and left the rest. For my entrée, I had the Gamberoni Scampi. This was a step up but still had its flaws. On the positive side, the linguini was well-cooked, and there was a generous amount of shrimp. The biggest issue was the sheer volume of pasta; it was an immense portion that overwhelmed the other components. I ate about 30% of the pasta and all the shrimp, but it felt wasteful. The dish was decent, but not compelling enough to make me want to tackle such a huge portion again.

Based on this visit alone, my experience was a little subpar. Between the cramped space, inattentive service, and underwhelming food, Fiamma didn’t live up to its potential. However, the meal was a firm reminder that good company can elevate any experience. The name of the place is “Wood Fired Pizza,” and I clearly made a mistake by not ordering their signature item. I’m willing to give Fiamma another chance solely to try the pizza. For now, my recommendation is, if you come, bring your own drinks, maybe skip the appetizers, and definitely order the pizza.

The pizza is very tasty, the dough and ingredients are of good quality, but the last few times I ordered it arrived too burnt. It’s a shame, because the flavor is excellent, but they should pay more attention to that detail when baking.

Truly delicious! Incredibly fresh, authentic Italian cuisine. We got the meatballs which were huge and satisfying and filled with mozzarella! The server recommended the pizza with arugula and prosciutto di Parma which was outstanding! The dough was chewy and the sauce was bright, reminded us of pizzas we’ve had in the Mediterranean. We also got the Pollo Fiamma which is a dish I adored and will order again and again. We will definitely be back to try more things on the menu. The staff is so attentive with great suggestions. A lovely experience.

Went with friends to dinner and ordered the Fried Calamari as well as Rigatoni Vodka with Fried Chicken and we got one of the pies our waiter Pablo recommended. We did request pepperoni and it turned out to be the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. It was so cheesy and the flavor was incredible. The pasta was good but nothing crazy and the calamari had so much flavor! 1000000% recommend Fiamma if you want good pizza! Our waiter was awesome too!! We will definitely be back!

Hands down the best pizza I’ve had in my 46 yrs on this planet. That wood fire oven is amazing. Service was very pleasant and fast. Price was average for a large pie. This is how all pizzas should be made. Too bad your guys are so far away from my hometown. I will definitely stop in on my next job visit in the area.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! Pizza is out of this world and the Fiamma salad is the best salad I’ve ever put in my mouth. The waitstaff is extremely attentive and friendly and always checks in. The food comes out at the correct temperature and efficiently. The pizza is perfection as you can see in the image I uploaded. My family and I love it here and we will be back weekly!!!

Wood fired pizza can be hit or miss. Not Fiamma’s tho. We always get the Margherita, sometimes a salad. But the key play is the side or marinara to dip the bones in! Service is great, food is great. Highly recommend.

Good pizza, excellent texture chewy and soft. If you are looking for crispy crust do not come here.
Pizza dough was perfectly salted, and their red sauce margarita pizza was perfection. Do add hot cherry pepper for some kick.

So we have come here many times. The food is usually very good, but this last visit was a little disappointing. There wasn’t that many people inside but the main waiter had a grimace on his face and was not very polite hinging on being rude. So we started with the beet salad which was very good. I loved the caramelized walnuts. We got 3 pizzas, all of them were good, but not very crisp. The crust was cooked well but the pizza itself was almost moist. Sorry to say with so many wood fired places in the area they really need to do a better job.
