Jollof Rice with chicken was the bomb. Upon my arrival I stood for a while and then someone came out and told me to sit where ever – she shortly came back to take my order which didn’t take long to arrive. Food was hot, full of flavor & the presentation was beautiful. They presented the food in a basket – really pretty. Wish they had music playing which would really bring the whole vibe of the place to life. Overall it was a pleasant experience and will definitely be back!

We went 6/21/25 for our first taste of any form of African food. I had heard so much about fufu and was dying to try it. When we saw a ghana restaurant open, myself and two friends decided ro give it a try.

Our server was amazing. She explained everything with no judgement and helped us pick our meals despite not knowing what some would be like. Me and my friend had the fufuo with soup, mine the pepper and goat, his the chicken and peanut butter. Both were deliciously aromatic. They pack some heat but it was delicious.

We had the kelewele at the beginning and it is an amazingly spiced plantain dish. Our other friend is a vegetarian and had rice and beans and plantains. We ended the meal with to go boxes, and a dessert made with fried dough, nutmeg and vanilla. It was all so good.

If you are new to any type of African food, just ask! They explained ingredients and how to eat it. The restaurant was clean, well cared for, smelled good, and the music was a good atmospheric detail. We will definitely be back.

Expect to pay $15-$20 per entree, but large servings (we all got to go bags) and worth the price. The appetizer, a perfectly shareable size was under $5 and three fried dough desserts were only $4. Good prices, high quality, and a unique experience.

Was craving jollof rice, and I didn’t want to drive all the way up north, so I happen to Google and I did not realize we had this restaurant in Fredericksburg. I ordered through GrubHub and ordered the beef and jollof rice with a boiled egg. The jollof rice was absolutely delicious. The Ghanaian flavors were strong and perfect. The beef was tender and not too tough. My only request is that the meat portion increase slightly. I only received three pieces of beef, although one of the pieces were on the larger side, it would’ve been nice to have a bit more, especially with pricing. I’ll definitely order again!

Give them 2 start for the food, they literally ended me burned Bofrot i couldn’t eat them
So I had to throw them away.
I ordered Banku With Okra Stew they okra was supposed to have beef and seafood per the picture of the menu I even asked before ordering. I received only 3 piece of extremely dry beef in my stews for 2 servings of bunku. The okra tasted mid.
This was my first time trying Ghana food. Not great experience especially after receiving burned food.

Food was delicious, but I had called in my order and was asked if I ever had Ghana food before and stated I did and the dude laughed on the phone so I was confused and was nervous on picking up my order cause I didn’t understand what was funny. Food was delicious, only downfall is I had literally one chicken leg and two servings of jollof rice for $20… at least give me two chicken legs especially for that price. I also thought a boiled egg was supposed to come with the meal but didn’t receive that.

Restaurant was amazing overall. Was stopping by from out of town and the owner greeted me with a warm welcome and conversation while I waited for the food. And the food itself was perfectly seasoned and cooked and very delicious. Very unique place if you want to try some authentic Ghanaian food, I’d highly recommend the stew and rice
