Our first visit to this charming restaurant was a delightful surprise. Brought here by our contractor for Sunday lunch, we discovered a vibrant array of authentic Mexican dishes that truly satisfied our cravings. There’s a saying that if an Asian restaurant is packed with Asian patrons, the food must be good—and the same rings true here, with lively Hispanic families filling the place, and the delicious food certainly living up to the hype. I usually hold off on five-star ratings until I’ve visited a place a few times, but I can confidently say this spot is worthy of a return trip. My only hope is that future visits will come with the same friendly service, even if I don’t speak Spanish.

The Molcajete is pure fire loved it as authentic as it gets Mexican food. Just as good or even better than the fancy spots with an ocean view.

This is one the best Mexican food restaurants in Santa Maria. You must try one of their Molcajetes or Parrilladas. You definitely get your money’s worth.

Certain items listed on the menu they don’t serve. I mentioned to the server that the chips were really stale, her response …(In Spanish)”they’re not, they were just made a while ago”, it was so obvious that those chips were not made there and the server didn’t even take down our order the way we wanted it (no onion, no cheese, ect..)and served it to us as is in the menu. Neither one of the servers came over to our table to see if we needed anything and we had to ask them for the check even after they left the bills at the other tables. Other than the chips and the way the order was made and the service, the food was a little better than ok.
