We love this place and had yet another great experience! I was very impressed with Princeton who greeted us, confirmed our reservation, and was incredibly professional and friendly. He really elevated the experience for us!

My fiancée and I got their hibachi dinner with Fernando as our chef. He was excellent – our food was prepared wonderfully, everything was seasoned to perfection, and he was thoroughly entertaining!

Every time we are in town, we make a point to have a dinner night here because it is always such a good time with great food! It is a shame to see other negative reviews on here when we have never had a bad experience. We hope this place continues to thrive under Maria’s leadership and will be here for a long time to come! Can’t wait to go back!

We absolutely loved the food, and the recommendations made by our server. We had a spicy tuna roll and a salmon delight roll, both were on point in terms of flavour. The chicken gyoza too was delicious. Service was super quick, and we were surprised to be the only ones there (on a rainy Thursday afternoon) . Recommend this place for sure!

Ordered close to closing time but that’s no excuse. No utensils included…. My requests were completely ignored and the portions are smaller than you’d expect for the price and the chicken is as dry as it looks in the photos.

a wonderful way to end our valentines day!

i got the lobster and filet mignon, my fiance also got the lobster, scallops, and ribeye. we also shared fried gyoza, and a tower of tempura onion rings. along with the miso, fried rice, and veggies.

the food was absolutely INCREDIBLE! we are still raving about that lobster. i like my filet mignon ordered medium rare, sometimes other restaurants leave too much pink or fail to leave any pink at all. our chef cooked mine PERFECTLY!

my fiance is not much of a seafood enjoyer. that all changed after he ate his scallops and lobster. he absolutely loved it and ate everything!

the onion tower was amazing. onions were tender, perfectly sliced, and didn’t slide out of the batter when you bit into them!

our chef was entertaining, talented, and an incredible cook. no one else at our table wanted any mushrooms except me, and he cooked a small portion just for myself! awesome experience. we will definitely be coming back, despite the price. totally worth it!

We’ve been coming here since we were kids, and it’s still such a wonderful experience every time. The food is always delicious and the service is excellent. Our server, Vanessa, was so sweet and attentive to our entire family, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The highlight of the night was watching the chef in action — my five-year-old niece was absolutely in awe and couldn’t stop talking about it. This place continues to be a favorite for our family, and we’ll definitely keep coming back!

I recently visited Hibachi Steakhouse and Grill in Santa Barbara, and overall the experience was underwhelming. The food felt overpriced for the quality, and the sushi in particular didn’t seem to use the freshest or best ingredients. Our server checked on us only once for a drink refill, which left the service feeling inattentive. The overall vibe from the staff was uptight and didn’t give the lively, welcoming atmosphere you’d expect from a hibachi-style restaurant.

The chef was the highlight of the night—funny, engaging, and clearly enjoying his craft—but unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn’t match his energy.

Wouldn’t return at these prices unless major improvements are made.

What an amazing experience! We had such a good evening here. We had to wait 20 min because it was so busy. So we decided to have some sushi as a starter and a beer. The sushi was some of the best sushi I’ve had compared to places I’ve been all over the world. Good quality fish and big portions. The service was extremely fast. When we moved to our table the waiter we got really did an excellent job with his service. We had to wait a while for our chef and the waiter actually came to apologise and kept us posted on our chef arriving soon. All in all we had a very good time at this restaurant. The staff is friendly, efficient and helpful. We had four different types of fish and everything was cooked perfectly! Well done Hibachi Steak House & Seafood.

Stop what you are doing and go eat here NOW! Filet mignon on sushi!? Delicious. Poke fries….Delicious. Everything was amazing and the music will take you back to your early twenties (unless you are still in your early twenties).

The goods: The chef had amazing humor and great entertainment. It made the experience better. Sushi is good. Not the highest value fish though. Mainly fake crab meat and fish was artificially died. (We fish for bluefin and halibut, we know good fish)
The bad: The workers look stressed. The actual hibachi food was so gross! I know the chef could tell the food was nasty as he kept asking everyone, “all good?” Fried rice was covered in salty butter then drenched with soy sauce. Not only that the rice had the corn and pea premixed into it which made you wonder how long are they storing that for? I got the mahi mahi and the filet mignon. My boyfriend got the shrimp annd NY steak. His steak had a huge yellow strip of fat that could have been cut off for presentation purposes, gross.

Everything was drenched in salty butter and soy sauce. There was no herbs on the meat. You had to rely on the bitter or sub par sauces. They would be better off buying sauce somewhere else. We were so grossed out by the food we had a hard time eating it. The other party also was moving the food around on their plate regretting paying $80+ per plate on high calorie and cholesterol food. Also the salad and miso were so low effort. The salad dressing was the same ginger sauce you had to dub your sad meat in. Miso was from the box.

I hate to be so transparent but I could’ve saved $200 to make all of that on my own. I went out so I didn’t have to cook and I wanted to have tasty food, but it was the completely opposite experience. By the time we finished dinner at 9:30pm everything was closed and we still had to go home to cook healthier food. We gave our foood to our dogs.

I have been a customer here since 2016 when they were “Something’s Fishy.” I had had their sushi bar a lot while in college because there were always deals. I didn’t like the habachi the one time I came for that before, but I didn’t remember it being that gross.
