The cocktails were some of the best we’ve had in Orlando balanced, creative, and beautifully presented. The staff was welcoming and the atmosphere made it a great place to relax and enjoy good food with friends.
If you’re looking for a restaurant in Orlando with top-quality dishes, excellent drinks, and a fun ambiance, Unico Gastrobar is definitely worth a visit.
The food arrived hot. The drinks came out quickly. And the waitresses were helpful and attentive, giving recommendations when possible.
There is a live DJ at night (I went on a Thursday) and it’s set up like a lounge, so you’re able to purchase hookah there as well.
The location is easy to find, right in a plaza with plenty of parking. Security was on point—IDs checked at the entrance—which made the place feel safe and well-managed. The venue itself is a great size, blending a sleek bar vibe with a hookah lounge, all with a smart casual dress code that fit the “grown and sexy” vibe perfectly.
The live DJ was on fire, spinning a solid mix of music that kept the energy high without being overwhelming. The crowd was definitely millennial, mature, and stylish.
I ordered the Lemon Drop and the Bad Habits cocktails—both were delicious. For food, I had the beef empanadas and Henny wings, and they were absolutely on point. Plus, they’ve got a great Happy Hour from Tuesday to Saturday!
This place is officially on my go-back list. The atmosphere, food, drinks, and music all come together for a perfect night out. Highly recommend!
However, last Saturday we had a very unpleasant experience that almost made us leave. When we arrived, we asked one of the staff members who was managing the night where we should park, because we drive a car that we prefer not to park too close to other vehicles. We parked exactly where we were directed.
Shortly after, the security guard at the door (a young, skinny Dominican guy) treated us very poorly. He was extremely rude and had a very bad attitude from the start. My husband tried to explain the situation to him in Spanish, but he kept responding only in English without letting him finish, so I had to step in and speak in English as well.
He told us we were parked in a fire lane, which was not true. I even went back and took a picture of the spot to show him there was no fire lane signage at all. On top of that, he did not explain initially that we could pay for parking in the front. When we agreed to pay, he didn’t even come out to remove the cones blocking that area.
His attitude was so unpleasant that it almost ruined our night. We stayed only because we were already there and waiting for other people to join us. To be fair, the manager did step in and tried to calm the situation, and we appreciate that.
We truly love this place and especially Cuban nights, but there is no reason for guests — especially regulars — to be treated with such disrespect. I really hope this does not happen again, because one person’s bad attitude can completely change an otherwise great experience
