I’ll start off by saying I’m a sushi nut so my standards are high. Great atmosphere. Clean. Friendly staff. And the food was great quality, good portions, and absolutely delicious! Most places I go even the starter salad is a little sad but the ginger salad I got here was full of fresh and crisp veggies. Will definitely frequent this spot especially since we live walking distance away.

I really wanted to like the place cause I love sushi and often find myself at the brewery or distillery. Really dig the vibe there. And everyone is very nice and they always have the order right but man the food is just average at best. Tried multiple times and it just didn’t do it for us. Sushi didn’t seem the freshest, the rice was often chewy and the flavors were just not that great. Maybe I’m just picky but sad to say I won’t try again

Came on a Saturday night and it was very disappointing. It was my first time here and I expected an $18 specialty roll to taste better and to be a better quality than many basic rolls from other places. but that was not the case. I have had sushi at many places and this was by far at the bottom of the list. The rolls were small and the basic hand rolls tasted like like ShopRite sushi although I would say ShopRite is better. I am really not sure how this place has 4.8 stars because the quality and the service were terrible. And I didn’t mention the gnats flying around the whole time we were eating. Would not recommend anybody to eat here.

Sáfu Sushi is a hip, new location in Downtown Toms River, bringing sleek and modern vibes with it. The atmosphere is inviting and warm, the menu straight to the point, the staff friendly and welcoming!
The sushi was made just right and tasted so fresh. Very excited to have a new sushi spot in town within walking distance of some hot spots such as Battle River Brewing, Huddy Park and more. Definitely stop in and give them a chance, you will not regret it!

Friendly staff. Casual and comfortable atmosphere. Delicious and flavorful food. I’ve had the Miso soup at other restaurants that was bland. However, here it was very flavorful. The Seaweed salad was delicious as well as the Tuna Tartare.

Such a great addition to the downtown area! Service was great – Liz was a gem! Her recommendations were spot on. The food was so fresh and delicious! The Kani blew us away. The crab Rangoon were crispy and stuffed with fresh shredded crab. The Shumai were soft and pillowy. The selection of chef’s special rolls was inventive and unique. They are byob so went across the street to the distillery and grabbed some to go drinks. The atmosphere was laid back with a cool vibe. This is a great date spot, as well as a great spot for friends and family. We will return to try other small plates and rolls.
