I visited the Taco Casa location on December 21, 2024, and had an extremely concerning experience.
First, I was given the wrong order entirely. I went home and found out the order was incorrect. When I finally received what was supposed to be my correct order, I discovered a hard foreign object in my food. I bit down on it while eating, but fortunately didn’t bite with full force – this could have easily broken a tooth or caused serious mouth injuries.
The object appears to be burnt material or some foreign debris. I have photos and have retained the object. This represents a serious food safety violation, indicating problems with quality control in the kitchen.
I contacted management, and they said they would give me a gift card, so I appreciate that. However, this experience is not acceptable.
I have filed a complaint with the Mississippi Department of Health and have thoroughly documented everything.
I cannot recommend this location until significant improvements are made to food safety and quality control.

Stopped in on 01/25/2020 for lunch during a school competition in Vicksburg. The first thing that caught my eye was that people were waiting to go into the place before it even opened. To me, that’s a sign of loyal customers. I ordered the enchilada plate, my wife ordered the grande nachos and daughter ordered the fiesta salad. Fantastic is the best word to describe the experience. Counter service was very friendly. Cashier helped me with ordering and was knowledgeable on the menu. Food was prepared fast and came out hot and fast. The food was perfectly seasoned and every meal was very much liked by my family. If you get the chance, stop by location and eat. You won’t be disappointed.

Probably the only place in town I can give 5 stars to! Workers are so nice, food is typically great, their sweet tea is the only tea I like and they have the best mild sauce. My only wish is that they start adding the names of what meal is in the picture- when they post on Facebook. A lot of things look great but you don’t know what it is. Drive through typically takes a long time, so not ideal for lunch breaks at work.

If you’re looking for something quick to eat that’s not expensive, definitely this place. I ordered a Veggie Burrito. It’s pretty good. No taco sauce because it’s in a pump. I don’t trust those to be fully cleaned. That’s just me personally. I need packs. The beans were seasoned and the jalapenos made it come thru. I asked for sour cream. I will specify next time in a cup as it made it messy. Other than that, 2 ladies were and helpful. I’d come back for sure. Oh, for my fellow Pescaterians, no shrimp or fish here. Just beans and beef. And this is NOT Willy’s so if you order nachos, they are coming out of a pack, no fresh fried chips. So, I didn’t get the nachos. It’s cost friendly so, eh, make do what it do. #JenLoAssassin #JenLoApproved

Food is good don’t get me wrong. But went there tonight (10/12/25) around 8:30Pm, ordered 3 combo burritos, Large con queso (which I got the regular didn’t notice till I got home, waste of money..) and the first go around the girl at the window decided to put ONE combo burrito. So we had to loop right back around to order 2 more. Bad service/workers but decent food if you’re hungry. Don’t get a job if you aren’t gonna do it right.

Food is good but workers not friendly. Borderline rude. Not helpful, not patient. Got cut off with a total and didn’t call the order back. Get a job that makes you happy and don’t work in service if you can’t be kind to people.

I purchased two fiesta salads today. One was perfect and the other one was burnt. Sadly this isn’t the first time this has happened to me. The first time they were both burnt. This should have been disposed of instead of being served to a customer. I’m very sure they would not have liked it if someone served this to them. I called the restaurant and was told to bring it back for a replacement or a refund. I live almost an hour away. So, unfortunately for me, I must take a loss for someone else’s error in judgment. Driving that far to return it isn’t worth the gas it’ll take to do so. I’ve learned my lesson and I will not be returning to this restaurant. In the future I will be taking my money somewhere I am appreciated and valued as a customer.

I’m not from here, I’ve never seen prices so cheap. Granted the food is basically like you might make at home if you aren’t Mexican but it’s decent. The hot sauce isn’t hot at all, either but again, still crazy $$ deal

Wish I could give less than one star. I wanted a cup of ice with my order and was informed that they were unable to sell just ice because they only have one ice maker working. So I asked for a large Coke with no soda. I was informed that is still considered selling ice and they can not do that. I told her I would pay full price for a drink with no soda in it and she still said no. Really Taco Casa, I always look forward to stopping there when I am visiting Vicksburg but never again. To top it off they did not wrap the tacos but placed them in a large container all together. On the flip side, the food is still good but not worth the bad customer service
