Service was on point… so nice. Unfortunately seafood bucket was pretty disappointing. Too salty. Seasoning mostly was from the Portuguese sausage, which we didn’t like that particular one they use. Half of it was potatoes, which we got a little more since we ordered no egg. One cluster of crab and maybe 10-12 medium shrimps for $60. We’ve had simpler shrimp boils that were way better. Could leave out the crab too. Hope it gets better. We love to support local.

I finally checked out Buckits Hawaii, and let me tell you, they’re famous for their seafood buckets! It’s actually Hawaii’s first seafood boil food truck that you can grab on the go. They’ve got four different sauce options: House Cajun, Spicy Cajun, Cheehoo, and Hapa. Besides the buckets, they also whip up a seafood seasoning mix, shrimp and rice plates, steak tacos, elote (that’s corn), horchata, and side rice.

When it comes to the seafood boil, you can choose from three different sizes, and you get to pick your sauce. Each bucket is loaded with shrimp, crab legs, sausage, an egg, and some small potatoes. I went for the hapa sauce, and wow, it was a serious game changer—definitely a “chew until you can’t eat any more” kind of meal! The flavors were broke da mout and super ono!

I’m from the south so I was excited to try seafood in a bucket. Was very disappointed it was so oily. Seems like they also put the flavor at the bottom of bucket then put seafood. Instead the other way around so none of the Arlie was actually sticking to food it was all at the bottom. It was a 40 dollar bucket at that ‍♀️
