I have traveled to and through El Paso many times and I was never able to stop here because they were closed when I went through. I finally made it and I was so excited to try the “famous” tacos! I ordered a single and a cheeseburger and fries. I cannot believe how disappointed I was with the tacos. Not only did the rolled tacos barely have beef, but the smell was not pleasant and burping the tacos was so gross! The cheeseburger and fries were actually really good and I would stop again for that. I have to believe that people have about this place is because they are locals and have grown up eating these tacos! Sorry, but they are severely overrated IMO!

The tacos here are delicious! I enjoyed the sauce and crunchiness of them. And I really liked the hotdog! So much flavor. I’m so glad I tried this place visiting El Paso.

Came to the first Chico’s opened, bad awful experience. The tacos the freeze everything was so burnt the fries were so hard the tacos I couldn’t even bite through it I had to let it sold for a minute.
Plus I asked if they could switch my fries manager Maribel gave attitude and they gave me some more BURNT fries
Everybody always comes from out of town to come eat Chico’s tacos…
Don’t come to the one in Alameda rude manager and staff

El Paso tradition, I stop at Chicos every time I am in El Paso. The Tacos are delicious but it’s the sauce they are served in and the mound of cheese on top that is the star, so ridiculously delicious! Fries are good too to mop up leftover sauce. Locations are old and dated but who cares, also cash only. Must try if in El Paso.

Hadn’t been here in years. It was the same except for the taqiitos. It was like eating just tortilla had literally no meat. Burger was good and fries too.

I get it, and I don’t. Food was pretty trash that’s forgiven if the service was good enough. The place was super dirty, and a girl was up front working, then just went into the kitchen and started putting cheese on plates with no gloves. Pretty gross. I get the vibe. I like it. I don’t get the part where they are printing money and can’t clean the place or wear gloves. Hard pass El Paso. Oh, and the lady screaming numbers all day super annoying..

Love coming here for so many years. Rosie or Omar the Cashier’s are very friendly. They make you feel like a family member they haven’t seen in a while. They have great customer service.

It’s an El Paso staple but you’ll either love it or hate it. It’s hilight are rolled tacos with ground meat covered with shredded USDA style cheese and a tomato salsa sauce and green chile sauce. They also serve hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled cheeses and beef stew but everyone that goes, goes for the rolled tacos. It used to be the cheapest date in town but prices have gone up quite a bit in the past couple years. I like it..but it’s an “acquired taste.
