Had a few friends invite me to join them for dinner the other night and I’m so glad I was able to join them for some of the best pizza, mozzarella sticks and red wine. I’ve had in a very long time. Hats off to the team in the back For the delicious food and kudos to the service upfront for the delightful atmosphere and welcoming greetings. I will definitely be back.

Did an order for carry out. 3 Specality pizzas and a large cheese – a solid 30 mins for that. The two guys working were very nice and made great tasting pizzas, maybe could have just picked up the pace a bit, there was no one else in the place and didn’t seem to be any other orders being made. But if you’re looking for an elevated pizza experience in the Portsmouth area, this is a good choice. There’s 8 – 10 tables inside and a cute decor. No indication they served beer or wine.

We did not dine in, but delivery was spot on. It arrived a little early and it was hot and perfect. Definitely the go-to place for the best pizza. Ready to try out some of the other entrees. I’m pretty sure you can’t go wrong.

Wow! What a refreshment of an old favorite. “Pizza Box” was always one of my favorite Port Norfolk hidden gems. After the original iteration of the restaurant and a number of years in the wilderness – The Box is a return to form!
Great menu, super slick modern decor, and friendly service. Also very reasonable price points. I tried the Smokeshow Pizza (sans sausage) and was very impressed, fun to see smoked mozzarella as a topping choice! I’m looking forward to coming back and trying some of the other pizza offerings. They’re definitely thinking outside the box here!

Had the margharita pizza:
Pros: really good pizza crust, really good sauce and cheese. Very good service.
Cons: no fresh basil on the pizza.
Atmosphere: cute place with nice tables, some background music would be a nice touch.

Came for a soft launch and the food was amazing. Thanks to the staff for the complimentary food. The staff was very nice and helpful and the atmosphere was great. I’d definitely recommend and I will be coming back again.

Dinner at Pizza Box did not disappoint. We had the ‘Box Cuts’ with roasted pepper and Alfredo dipping sauce. The Smoke Show Pizza. Then, of course, I always want dessert, so then we ordered cinnamon knots to-go. However, I had to taste while they were fresh! Can’t wait for our next visit.

I visited after seeing advertisements, as I always like trying new (or newly discovered) pizza places.
This small restaurant is nestled in the residential Port Norfolk of Portsmouth. There is street parking available which is expected in this area.
The restaurant itself appeared clean and its eclectic design gave a hometown, home cooking, neighborhood feel.
The lady who served us was friendly, helpful, attentive, and professional. Our order was delivered quickly. Service was an A+!
We order a breakfast pizza, a 12 inch pepperoni pizza, and garlic breadsticks.
The breakfast pizza was a nice surprise. The crust was crispy and the cheese and bacon (no pizza sauce) gave a wonderful crossover of a breakfast sandwich and a pizza.
The garlic breadsticks were average. They were good, but they were nothing that made them extraordinary.
Unfortunately, I felt the pizza itself fell short. The crust was a little bland and didn’t have the thick, crispy thin, or brick oven style taste or texture. I know all taste is subjective, but I felt the pizza fell short. It seemed like a cafeteria style pizza than a restaurant pizza.
The service was outstanding, and the breakfast pizza was a nice surprise, but I have given three starts because the pizza wasn’t that good, and when pizza is in the name of the restaurant it needs to be good.

We called in for delivery for the first time and we had a good experience. Firstly, this is like the only pizza place that delivers in Portsmouth anymore that doesn’t use Doordash or something similar, which is awesome. They delivered our pizza within 20 minutes which was also fantastic and the staff was all very friendly as well. We got the chicken bacon ranch pizza, and it was pretty good, my only complaint was that it was just a little salty, but the flavor and cook was still great. Also, the price was a bit high for a large pizza, but I understand that we got delivery, and the cost of everything nowadays has inflated. We will definitely be back to try a different pie and see what the actually restaurant looks like. Good job Pizza Box!
