The bagels were absolutely excellent, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. I also tried the passion fruit matcha, and it’s simply the best matcha I’ve ever had. The balance of flavors was amazing and so refreshing!
The team is sooo friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Such a warm atmosphere and a great place to relax and enjoy high-quality food and drinks. Highly recommend!

My all time favorite place to grab brunch in LA. The laika bagel, the Scarlett, and the fruit one are chefs kiss. And the coffee! My bf always gets the spicy bec with avocado. The people who work here (Luke and Chris) are super nice. And they have a nice loyalty program for the regulars like myself.

I’ve had Laylas so many times and have never left a review because it’s a name that speaks for itself! It’s famous in the area and already has a line out the door but for good reason! I get the Scarlett every time, my husband also switches it up but normally gets the seasonal fruit bagel which is always just such a treat! This is my favorite bagel spot I’ve ever been to, I say it with my full chest that this is better than every New York bagel I’ve tried. I hope they make more locations!

Stopped in for my first time this past weekend and overall really enjoyed it. I have known about this place for quite some time because it is popular on social media and when I arrived at 9:30 on Saturday morning, there was at least 8 people in line in front of me already. Most people choose to get to go because there are not really inside tables, this place is more standing room only. There isn’t dedicated parking however you can do valet for this group of shops or the easiest thing to do is just find free street parking, which is what we did. They make the order pretty quickly however it’s usually very busy so it’s not going to be the fastest turnaround given that most likely there will be a few people in line in front of you.
Overall, I thought the bagels were a bit chewy but still very good. I will say that some of the flavor combinations are a bit more female centered, and it seems that that is most of their clientele from my visit. You won’t find a lot of meat, cheese, or even a deluxe lox bagel like some other places we have had recently. We ordered a few different items. To drink was the Salted Maple Latte, which I thought was fantastic however for $9 it was overpriced. You get smaller than a tall sized portion at Starbucks and so I thought the pricing was a bit skewed. To eat we tried the Scarlett, which I really enjoyed the heirloom tomatoes and it made for a unique bagel combination. Next, we ordered the Mia, which is basically avocado and no cream cheese and I opted for no pickled onions. This one was OK, it was a bit boring so I would not recommend. I think that if there would be some crunch or spice to it, it would improve it. We also ordered the Spicy B.E.C., which is their breakfast sandwich and honestly, we weren’t very big fans of it. Jyan Isaac next-door has a much better version and I didn’t like this thick cut bacon, I’m much more prefer crispy.
Overall, I really like this place however, I thought that Jyan Isaac next-door was even better because I tried them the previous weekend. Matcha review: I am YET to try a bagel which is embarrassing for obvious reasons, but Layla has an excellent matcha. Their cream top slaps, if you do dairy. Otherwise they have a solid regular matcha latte, hot or iced. The atmosphere is so bright and uplifting, and there is literally always a crowd/line (in a good way). I think it speaks for itself. Even weekdays are popping, but the line is totally doable. I come for matcha from time to time, but can’t wait to be back for a bagel because they look bomb.

I enjoyed my visit- it was pleasant. I went in the morning around 830A and just a few people in line. Not crowded at all. Sweet and friendly service. Not a huge menu: simple but perfect . I liked that I can order half a bagel! I got the Scarlet- had cream cheese, tomato and chili flakes. I also got the vanilla latte with cream top. Will definitely come back to try other items. The bagel itself was delicious. I got the everything bagel and it was perfectly made! Cute vibes.

There was a line, but the service was quick and kind. The menu was clear and concise. I bought the bagel with herb cream cheese, capers, pickled onions and tomato. Very flavorful didn’t need extra salt/pepper. The Salted Maple Latte was very pleasant, good quality. Def give it a go if you’re in the area. Cute shops to strolll around with your favorite coffee from Layla’s!

The breakfast sandwich wasn’t great… Was kind of hard to chew and the sauce was all you could taste, and it wasn’t great. The open face bagels looked delicious though and maybe those would be better to try.

Not plenty of seating so avoid peak times if you’re planning to eat in. They have rotating seasonal prejam flavors so check out their instagram for that. The spicy egg sandwich was just okay, I didn’t taste much of the aioli sauce. Prejam had blackberries with honey but their lox tops everything else.

I’ve tried bagel shops in New York and all over, and I can honestly say these were the best bagels I’ve ever had. Perfectly chewy, fresh, and full of flavor. I ordered a variety: The B.A.T. (bacon, arugula, tomato with aioli) was crisp and savory, the Laika (smoked salmon, tomato, cucumber, pickled onions, capers with herb cream cheese) was a classic done to perfection, and the Samson (tuna salad, avocado, tomato, dill) was fresh and filling. Sammi’s Egg Sammy (scrambled eggs, aged cheddar, and arugula with chermoula) had so much flavor, while the Scarlett (heirloom tomato, lemon zest, chili flakes with cream cheese) was simple but bold. The Pre-Jam stood out — I really liked that it uses seasonal fruit instead of being fixed, which makes it feel creative and different each time. Every bagel I tried had its own personality, and honestly, not a single miss.
