Well sadly I’m just here to confirm what most of the other reviews have said. Our family was very excited to see this restaurant come to town and I’ve waited to review it in hopes that the poor experiences were growing pains or new restaurant fixes. I find it so disappointing that in a nice area like ours this Chipotle has always been not great. Today I went and they were out of both steak and Barbacoa. The place was dirty, garbages too full to put our trash in etc. The online ordering situation is just as terrible, it takes forever, and I’ve never even bothered to try the drive-through because of all the negative reviews. Even simple things like their soda aren’t done right. They have been consistently out of ice in the summer as well. The soda often tastes gross and I imagine the syrup needs to be replaced or the filters. Why is this becoming the normal thing for Chipotle and so many other restaurants? How can a restaurant that’s obviously this popular be so poorly staffed, run and stocked? Do better corporate overlords. Take the time and spend the money to not lose the whole business. The only reason why we keep coming back is the food (that isn’t out of stock) is better quality.

They constantly skimp on food, last time I went the guy at the cash register went back and scooped me more chicken without me saying anything because they gave me so little. This was my bowl tonight, it feels like they’re giving me less food every time lol

I’ve been to many Chipotle Mexican Grill locations across the US and the Chipotle in Southern Pines NC may be the WORST in the country. My biggest complaint is that no matter what day or time we go there, they are consistently out of a key ingredient. One evening they’re out of Carnitas. Another evening they’re out of Lettuce or Cheese. Another they’re out of Salsa. Another they’re out of Chips. Then back to being out of Carnitas again, another meat, etc. For a restaurant with such a small menu, you’d think they would have the ability to keep the options stocked. From our own experience, this frustrating problem has existed long term, therefore, I’m not sure their employees are to blame. ( The turn over in this location makes your head spin). I can’t help to think that the owner is more concerned about left over food than actually supplying the patrons with what’s supposed to be on the Chipotle menu. The only reason they have the business they do, is people like us keep trying in hopes they’ll live up the Chipotle name. I myself keep trying because I like Chipotle in general. But this location is a complete and total disappointment. I plan to contact Chipotle corporate to inform them of how this location represents their name.

This place needs a complete overhaul. What a disaster. Long line, but that is to be expected at 530 on a Friday evening. After waiting about 20 minutes, one of the associates started yelling for people to leave bc we are short staffed. He then takes all the high chairs and blocks the front door and locks it. We finally get to order our food after 45 minutes. The poor girl making food was on maybe her third day of working there. Another girl was standing at the register with a nasty look on her face, doing absolutely nothing to help the other girl. Just watching her struggle. There is nobody to ring up! Help her complete the orders maybe? There were no napkins, or straws. Every table was dirty. Trash was overflowing. Judging from the other reviews this is a daily occurrence. Corporate needs to step in…

This is quite possibly the worse Chipotle in my area! They are consistently lacking menu items well before close of business! The restaurant is usually in disarray and the employees dont seem to care. The food is the food and is usually decent when available! This Chipotle needs new management ASAP!

Worst chipotle ever. Ordered online to have food in time to make a game and employees were late opening, with an attitude. Told her we were in a time crunch and needed it done asap repeated my name, and when I opened the food in the car it was the wrong order for a different name. Ordered steak and got chicken. I stop here at least once a week bc it’s on my way to practice and it’s ALWAYS something. You’ve got the drive thru now get a decent store manager. 90% of the time I’m pissed when I open my food, it’s a gamble every time, will it be dry meat, dry vegetable, half empty container, or the wrong order??

I normally love Chipotle but this is sadly one of the most poorly managed locations I have ever encountered. We have ordered online three times and every order was completely incorrect. We want to order but are waiting a quarter to see if they improve after some time.
I have visited in-person twice and both times the wait was long at non-rush hours and the facilities were dirty. Both times they were also out of chips but strangely enough instead of telling people up-front they were out of chips when customers were ordering things like queso or guacamole they only alerted them to this fact when the customer was ready to pay.
They then asked the customer if they wanted to keep the queso or guacamole. If they said no, it seemed like they threw out the ramekin of food. This is blatant unnecessary waste and speaks volumes to the poor management of this location.
Lets hope it gets better with time.
EDIT 06/04/2024 (1 year later): It has not gotten better. This is definitely the worst Chipotle I’ve ever been to and probably the worst Chipotle in the state of NC.
We recently ordered some tacos and got black bean soup instead. We were refunded for the order via DoorDash but we are giving up on this place. Time and time again, orders are wrong, made poorly and the dining room is often disgusting. It is clear Chipotle and their employees do not care about this place and it is so bad I am no longer a fan of Chipotle.
Good riddance.

We ordered to go, we watched our food sit for 20 minutes. The manager was preparing the to go orders. She left ours completely ready and kept getting orders that were after ours because people after us kept asking about theirs. Because we did not bug them we did not get our food on time or even reasonably. Then she argued when asked about it.
Is it wrong to wait until yours is called or do you badger them? Apparently you need to badger them or they will not give you your food and when they do the meat is cold. They did give us a bag of warm chips, that however does not make up for the two meals that are cold.
The rest of the staff minus the manager is very pleasant. She however needs to take responsibility that she could not manage the shift and needed help. Maybe also learn customer service skills as well.

Not quite sure where these negative reviews are coming from. Lots of people seem to be complaining about their experience ordering online, so maybe they should just come inside and do it themselves like other people, since this place literally JUST opened up.
My in-store experience was fantastic! I had never been to a Chipotle before, and while I would say this exceeded my expectations, unfortunately, I am not a big fan of their queso after having a whole cup of it with their chips.
My service, even with them still being fresh and new, was very prompt! My only other small complaint is that they put my chips in a bag instead of a basket, even though they had a big tall stack of baskets by the register.

This location is a complete mess. I picked up my mobile order today and, yet again, the experience was beyond frustrating. My meal was clearly labeled as a *burrito* and was made as a *bowl* with no explanation. I was also told they were out of nearly every ingredient I ordered—but only after I arrived. No heads-up, no solution, just a “call the help number” and good luck. Then I opened my “large” bag of chips and found about 10 broken pieces. What a joke.
This isn’t the first time, and unfortunately, it probably won’t be the last because this location clearly doesn’t care. Every visit is a gamble, and I almost always leave disappointed or angry. I’m done giving this place second chances. If management is reading this—do better.
