I really like the food here, but the customer service was disappointing. They told me there was no indoor dining after 8:00 p.m., even though they close at 10 and there were still people sitting inside. I was wearing just a white undershirt and had to sit outside in the cold — it was freezing. I come here about 2 times a month and spent around $18 each visit, but after this experience, I’ll never return.

Okay, if I’ve never had The Halal Guys from NYC before, I would’ve given the SoCal iteration 4 stars, but alas, I have and SoCal just doesn’t compare, so 3.5 stars for them.
Chicken / beef gyro platter – can add green peppers, onions, jalapenos and bbq sauce for free. Cool to have those options, but coming from the original NYC version, adding all those extras seemed blasphemous to me! You don’t need to mess with the set standard toppings!
Beef gyro sandwich – if you don’t want a platter, the sandwich is just as good!
There’s seating indoors, but can easily fill up if you come during a meal rush.

I walked in and there was a girl sweeping and cleaning and without changing the gloves she served the food touching everything. On top of that the rice was hard literally hard and the meat was old, dry and oily. And than another guy cashier try to charge me for the sauce making up prices of his own. This place use to be good, The service have went down extremely.

Place has gone downhill with new employees
I ordered online and the portion was small. This was not what I paid for. I tried calling and no one would pick up i think i did 5+ calls for 2 days just to be hung up on. Dont order online and even in store they’re starting to skim customers which is not fair for the consumer who is paying money for a full meal. Disappointing.
Old:
Always great portioned and place is clean. Staff its pretty on top of orders but there sometimes can be a wait. The “presentation” of your food is heavily depedent on the person working only once have i been unhappy with my portion-new worker. The parking situation can be tough mostly with recent construction but they offer order ahead. Overall, if you want another quick bite — recommend!

I visit this place often, but today I had my worst experience. From the beginning, the server was rude and had an attitude for no reason. I felt rushed even though there were no other customers. He yelled at me to speak louder, claiming he was half deaf, yet had no trouble hearing me afterward when I spoke in the same tone. He also yelled at my boyfriend about how to place his order. During checkout, he asked for a penny for the total, and when I didn’t have one, he gave me change in all nickels instead of explaining he had no quarters. The entire interaction was unprofessional and unpleasant. If personal issues are affecting staff behavior, they shouldn’t be taken out on customers. His name was Nick. This was absolutely the worst customer service I’ve experienced here, and management should do better when hiring.

Ordered a catering meal, WHICH SUPPOSED TO INCLUDE THE DESSERTS & HUMMUS. They forgot to give it to me. By that time, I was already back at home, so I tried calling them 10 times. By the 10th time, someone finally picked up the call. I told them what happened and the employee spoke with the manager. The manager said the morning shift person didn’t write down the dessert and Hummus, so we cannot give it to you. We can only do a 10% off your next order. And by the way I paid almost $400 for this catering meal for 20 people. I told them, its not my fault the morning employee didnt write it down. But that doesnt matter because its supposed to go included in the catering meal. They didn’t want to give it to me. Their service is so bad, they just got some customers for that location. 10% off won’t cover 20 orders of baklava desserts and some hummus if you think about it.

We got there right as they opened. Amazing service, the gentleman was polite and super helpful. The food was great, we ended up getting the gyro sandwich. They were out of lettuce but let us know before we ordered, no biggie at all.
