Just had an amazing dinner at Lima Peruvian Restaurant in San Miguel de Allende.
The anticuchos were incredible – tender, marinated beef skewers with dried chiles that come out to the table flaming Such a fun and delicious dish. The shrimp, octopus, and mushroom gyozas with ponzu sauce were crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor
Huge thanks to our server Noah – perfectly bilingual, kind, and so helpful with us visiting girls. He made the whole experience easy and extra fun.
Highly recommend Lima for great food, a lively vibe, and truly wonderful service.

I was disappointed. The food was good Peruvian fare. However the service and indoor atmosphere (it was a cold and windy evening in January) left much to be desired. The waiter recommended a Peruvian dark beer which was sweet. After the first sip I asked to exchange it for a Mexican beer and was told I would be charged for both. I then asked for a aji amerillo salsa to go with my Lomo Saltado and was told there would be an extra charge. When I refused the waiter brought me a very good salsa roja. My wife had the red snapper ceviche and said it was very good.

While we have passed this place many times, we had never had the opportunity to try it. It’s kinda weird because we have always loved Peruvian food.

Anyway, we decided to give it a try. We got there around noon and they were still serving breakfast/brunch. Adal, our server, seated us and took our drink order. While we were waiting for our drinks he made several suggestions on which menu items to try. I ordered a latte and Stacy ordered a passion fruit juice. Both drinks were excellent. Fresh bread with butter and jam were provided while we waited our food.

After checking out the menu Stacy ordered the avocado toast with poached eggs (which came with your choice of potatoes or salad. Stacy said the salad was fantastic). The avocado toast was very good. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with a Peruvian yellow sauce which was amazing. I would definitely order those again, but there are also a lot of items on the menu I am looking forward to trying, especially some of the ceviches.

As far as service, I say this unequivocally, Adal is one of the best servers in all of San Miguel. He has worked at several restaurants around town and has evolved into a knowledgeable professional. His English is excellent (I know this is important to some folks), he is happy to provide suggestions, he checks on guests frequently, and always has a smile on his face.

We loved our brunch at Lima and can’t wait to go back.

We’ve been coming here for years and it’s always a great experience. We especially enjoy sitting and visiting with Alfredo and Noah, who always make us feel welcome. It’s one of our favorite places to return to whenever we’re in Lima.

Yes, an enthusiastic 5-star for this place. I’ve been on numerous occasions and always had the same experience.

I’ve tried many things on the menu, and I’ve never been disappointed. The flavors are subtle and complex.

Thanks to the gorgeous trees on the patio, the ambiance is a wee bit of zen sitting just off a main road.

The experience with the staff is warm and generous, thoughtful and heart forward, art.

Truly one of my favorite restaurants in SMA.

Highly recommend Lima! Our server was friendly and attentive, and the patio is lovely. Abundant selection of cocktails with beers/wine from Peru. The food was insanely delicious. We ordered 4 plates and all of them were great. Check it out, you won’t be dissapointed.

I have to start by saying this is definitely an authentic, delicious Peruvian restaurant.
From the promt greeting, excellent service and fantastic drinks and food, this place is really worth the visit.
We shared the Leche de Tigre and Tostada Chalaca as appetizers and had the Arrizotado and Tacu Mariscos for mains, just spectacular. Also, the Maracuya and Lima drinks were delicious. All around, one of the best restaurants in San Miguel. Alfred, our server was delightful as well.
Highly recommended

Oh my god. Certified hidden gem. Stumbled upon this place walking down Celaya. We got a pole bowl with salmon and the beef skewers. To drink a pisco sour tradicional and una pisco sour con chicha morada. Everything was incredible. Fernanda was lovely. Im obsessed.
