Gourmet House is, hands-down, my favorite Asian restaurant in Rhode Island. It’s my go-to spot for authentic Southeast Asian and Chinese cuisine, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and made with such care—you can truly taste the authenticity in every dish.
Beyond the amazing food, the service is always warm and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and whether I’m dining in or ordering takeout, the quality is always spot-on. Gourmet House holds a special place for me, and I can’t recommend it enough. A well-deserved five stars!

Gourmet House is an excellent pan-Asian (China, Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia) restaurant, and is an especially good option on cold and rainy days. They have an large selection of noodle and other soups that you can customize with your proteins of choice.
If you’re not in the mood for soup, their extensive menu is likely to have something else that you’ll enjoy. Note that their shrimp nime chow and chicken nime chow are terrific.
The decor is also eye-catching and makes you feel like you’re dining in an ancient temple surrounded by nature (reminiscent of Angkor Wat). This is also one of the most affordable places to eat on Hope St near the Hope, Mount Hope, and Blackstone neighborhoods.

The food here is truly spectacular. Despite how busy they are, they manage to be attentive and extremely accommodating. Definitely a go-to in Providence. We had a great time.

My family and I love coming here. We are regulars. The food is delicious and the prices are great. The portions are large so we always leave with leftovers. Service is great too. Highly recommend!!

The food was awesome!! My server was friendly too!! The dining space definitely could use an upgrade, but it’s still inviting some decor and clean It has a old neighborhood charm to it which I can appreciate. I like the shops and boutiques along Hope St which is nice too. Its a nice area to go for walks and enjoy great food♥️

We went there a few weeks ago from the suggestion of a neighboring restaurant to try. After just eating at the other restaurant. We stopped in quickly just to take a look. We ordered sticky wing’s and Crab ragoon to go. Were delicious. Went again yesterday, was pleasantly busy but not overly. Was seated right away the place by no means isn’t modern but was definitely cleaner then the last restaurant who suggested coming here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was fresh and hot. We ordered from the lunch menu and the portion size looked liked dinner. Plenty of food options. Found our new spot. !!! Well worth the ride.

I got the Vegetable garlic noodles and general Taos tofu with crab Rangoon and a wonton soup.
Large and cheap lunch specials
I like the cute atmosphere. It has a little theme and a painting on the wall. Great for a casual lunch date.
They seem to do a ton of delivery orders and not so much indoor dining so they have a lot of open tables.
Staff was really nice and they brought a little tea pot out for me first thing when I sat down. The wonton soup is pretty standard and mild. I loved the crab Rangoon; perfectly crunchy.
