The food was overall above average and the portions were big. The Maki Dogs were okay (I liked the langostino one the most), and the PTY roll was creative and good. The atmosphere is light and open – plenty of seating during our Sunday afternoon visit. Service was both fast and friendly. Drinks were good too.

They have great service and a variety of dishes, mainly Japanese, but I also saw some Thai and Chinese ones.
Ordered the sushi roll that was part of the Sushi Week (I think it said it was the winner ) and the combination was tasty but the rice was unfortunately not properly prepared, something most places don’t get right here in Panama.
Pad Thai and Vegetable Tempura were both good, again, not the original tempura sauce but it was still good! Breading was also not traditional but again, most places here will do it that way.
The tuna tataki was my least favorite, the slices were supposed to be thin according to the menu but they were actually thick, kinda like regular sushi rolls actually.
Margarita was good

We really love Sugoi. Jeff is our favorite server. He is such a pleasure. Jeff takes great pride in his job, and is exceptional at describing the menu items and drinks. We ordered their special. It was called Hot Dog roll, due to its presentation. Their food and drinks are inexpensive and delightful! Thank you Jeff & Sugoi!

This is our 2nd time a Sugoi. The previous visit was 3 years ago and I’m relieved and delighted that the food has remained exceptional and inventive. Our waitress, I think her name was Yajiara was really sweet and patient with my broken Spanish and provided excellent service.
