We had lunch with four friends at Saint Maries and had a great time. We all ordered different pizzas, plus some chips with a delicious truffle sauce and a rocket salad to share. Everything was really tasty!
It was a little hard to get the staff’s attention to order, but it wasn’t a big issue. There was plenty of seating, and the back garden area was beautiful. It was quite hot — but that was more because of the weather The cold drinks definitely helped!
The staff were kind and the service was good overall. We’d happily go back.

Oh my god we LOVED Saint Maries. The pizza was phenomenal, best I have had outside of Italy itself. Absolutely incredible crust and such fresh toppings.
The drinks were fantastic too – the cocktails are made with skill and care and were delicious. The vibe in the restaurant is really cool, jazz music at a perfect volume, lovely staff, a proper gem. We loved it so much we came back 3 nights in a row for cocktails.

Saint Maries didn’t disappoint at all. There’s plenty of seating both inside and out, and the space itself is beautifully styled — cosy lighting, comfortable furnishings, and a really welcoming vibe. Hands down, it’s the best pizza we’ve ever had. The base was fresh, perfectly cooked, and loaded with generous, flavour-packed toppings.
But the standout of the night was the service. You honestly don’t come across this level of care very often. Every staff member was genuinely friendly, checked in at just the right times, and made sure we had everything we needed. After a tough week at work, the smiles and positive energy were infectious. We’ll absolutely be back.

What’s not to like? Amazing food! Tasty entrees, interesting specials, brilliant (and interesting!!) pizzas. Delicious cocktails, happy hour with a variety of Margie’s, Coconut Margie’s, Coconots (non-alcoholic drinks that lose nothing in taste). Retrochic vibes in an retrochic motel that has been given a significant amount of love to keep up with the times. Live music with properly good musicians sets the mood on the weekend, and mid-week you might be lucky enough to get a live DJ. This is not your usual pizza place.
My only gripe is that Saint Marie’s isn’t closer to where I live & work, though they do say distance makes the heart grow fonder 😉

Thanks so much for holding our table, our guests across the border couldn’t figure out the time.
The service was friendly, relaxed. And while we awaited our besties, the margaritas fine.
The entree share plates were tasty, interesting and fun. The pizzas, as usual, number 1.
The cost was found reasonable to our city slicker friends. Of course we will be back. Another celebration or just out on the weekend.

Walked in without a reservation at probably one of the busiest nights of the year. The service was impressive, the speed of the meals coming out completely exceeded our expectations. We thought for sure based on how busy they were and number of take away they were churning out we would be in for a wait. But no not at all. Everything we ate was amazing. I would go as far to say it was the best pizza I have had outside of Italy and even then I would say it was up there with them.

Bustling atmosphere, clearly popular. Service was prompt and friendly, though a bit variable at times. Food was fresh and well presented. The pizza dough was excellent. However, all of the food could have used more seasoning and flavour – everything tasted bland. In particular, the prawns on the pizza tasted like they had no seasoning at all. More garlic, more olive oil, more herbs, more salt and pepper needed in my opinion.
