We were staying at a hotel and thought it was awesome they provided plates and napkins without us, since I failed to request them.
We were super shocked with how quick we rcvd our Saturday night delivery order.
First time ever having Happy Joes and would highly recommend to anyone in the area!!!
The standout of our visit was Daniel, the General Manager. He is truly the best! From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly kind, proactive, and genuinely helpful. It’s rare to find a GM who is so hands-on and invested in making sure every guest is taken care of. He made the entire coordination process seamless.
* The Pizza Buffet: It was spot on! The variety was great, the pizzas were fresh and hot, and the team kept the buffet perfectly stocked throughout our event.
* The Atmosphere: Happy Joe’s has that classic, welcoming vibe that works surprisingly well for a casual networking mixer. It’s relaxed, nostalgic, and always hits the spot.
* Event Planning: If you’re a local professional looking for a “hit” for your next gathering, don’t sleep on this location. The combination of great food and top-tier management makes it a no-brainer.
* Community Impact: It’s clear that Daniel is building a culture of service here that goes above and beyond the standard “pizza parlor” experience.
Five stars for the pizza, but ten stars for the service! Thank you, Daniel, for making our networking event such a success. We will definitely be back.
The space has definitely changed over the years. Gone is the arcade, the train that goes around the top of the main dining room, and many of the other features that I remember the space contributing to a fun, child-like atmosphere. In place of this are clear cut looking tables and booths, reddish beige walls throughout…generally the space looks like it grew up, just as I did (or was supposed to, at least).
The thing that definitely hasn’t changed is the food and service. I knew exactly what I wanted on my latest visit – a pepperoni pizza on original crust. The cashier took my order, I paid, and I had my pizza within 15 minutes. It was exactly as I remember from years ago – the crust holds firm on the bottom, the cheese has a characteristic taste that only Happy Joe’s pizza has…just what I needed at the time.
This location definitely has put Christmas in the metaphorical rear-view mirror though. It’s only a few days into January and they have Valentine’s Day stuff up, including some XOXO letters hung across the ice cream and a table adorned with a heart patterned table cloth, heart shaped plates, heart adorned cups, rose petals, and other Valentine’s accoutrement. Definitely feels a little early for this stuff, maybe even a little weird that it’s there in the first place, but it certainly was interesting.
I’m glad Happy Joe’s continues to maintain their presence in Bettendorf and the greater Quad Cities Area. It’s not always what I crave for pizza, but it’s nice to have as an option when the craving hits. Thanks Happy Joe’s!
Do not go to Bettendorf location. Bought a couple pizzas and one was a gluten free. The gluten free was the size of a personal pizza, just ridiculous for $20+………MUCH better gluten free pizza options out there!
