The Finny Show
Our server, Roberto, was excellent and genuinely seemed to care about what we ordered. The service was fast and attentive, even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy. The food came out in under five minutes and was cooked well. The homemade sweet tea was incredibly addicting—I had several refills.
I ordered the fish and grits. The grits were very flavorful, and the fish was nicely fried. A lot of effort clearly went into creating a Florida-style atmosphere, and it definitely felt designed with tourists in mind. The menu had a wide variety of options—you can order almost anything, from a hamburger to fish to even a single egg. It works well for many different people, schedules, and situations.
I would recommend this place to almost everyone, except those with accessibility needs or very strict food allergies

Great diner with solid diner style food and service. Had the Cuban. It was good. Would definitely go back again.

This place is a must stop. One way to rate a cafe/breakfast stop is to order the country fried steak. And place that serves breakfast should offer this and many don’t make it right. Anderson Road Cafe nailed it. I’m very picky with it and this place passed with flying colors. I can’t say enough. Service is great, food is even better, and I have it saved in my maps so I can come back. Can’t say enough!
This is a must stop joint if you’re looking for good, refilled coffee and hot fresh food.

First time coming in here. Me and my family thought they were closed for the longest time, since he hadn’t been since the 80s. I had the Reuben and they had the Tuna Salad sandwich. The restaurant is a cozy diner environment, where you can tell there’s a lot of history behind it as soon as you walk in. The coffee is mild, for diner coffee, but has a good flavor that I personally enjoyed. The reuben was the real star here. The cheese was melted perfectly, and everything tasted fresh.
From what my family said, the tuna salad sandwich and coleslaw were perfect. Made exactly how they liked it.
Who I assume was the owner was waiting tables, and he was very nice and friendly. Mentioned he had the place for around 3 years now. I’m surprised there’s not a line out the door with the quality of the food.
All in all, my first impressions were amazing. And I could say this is easily the best diner in Town and Country. And certainly gives T&C a heavy-hitting contender for the best one in Tampa. Even if I didn’t live in the area, I’d come out of my way to come back.

This is a diner-style restaurant that serves both breakfast and lunch. The building itself is not in good shape. The roof was leaking, the bathrooms smelled like a pool, and most of the decor is dated. However, the service was friendly and took care of our needs.
The food itself is actually not that bad. I got fish & grits and it was such an eccentric combination. However, I enjoyed my meal as well as the eggs and grits. Overall, would recommend if you’re in the area.

We had chicken fried steak and an omelet. Oh my was it yummy. Not sure where all the customers were..don’t let the lack of cars scare you off. Definitely going back. Susie was a delightful waitress. Only negative is the coffee is on the weak side. But some of you like that.

I had to kill time, so I had to find a place to eat, so this diner popped up. Great location in blue collar central here on Anderson Road. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and sweet tea. It is definitely good food and service spot on very friendly folks.

We have found our new favorite brunch place! We just moved to Carrollwood a few months ago and have been looking for a place to frequent, and this is it. The food was fantastic and the staff and service were excellent. They made us feel like family

Cute little local place. I stopped in for some Corned Beef hash. The food was excellent. It was served relatively quickly and the staff was super friendly. Roberto even gave me a list of spots to checkout after learning that I’m new to town. Lovely spot. Will definitely return!!
