Poor service & food. There was not one, but 4 hairs in this chicken piece. I had a very long day at work, and didn’t feel getting workers involved. They barely even checked on me, maybe because I was solo. Who knows. But definitely is not tasty or worth trying.

My wife was craving soupy broth after a long night and I saw a friend post about this location. We wanted to check it out and this was the perfect opportunity to do so.
Chicken pho hit the spot for the kids.
Hainan chicken and rice was what I was craving and this was good. A little on the salty side but it was fine.
BBH was what my wife needed.

Probably the best Cơm Gà Hải Nam in the Sacramento area. The ginger-infused fish sauce was absolute perfection—fragrant, balanced, and elevating every bite of the tender chicken and rice. Service was impressively fast, and our server checked in on us several times, making sure everything was just right.
The portions ran slightly on the smaller side, could be an opportunity area. The décor was warm and inviting, adding to the overall dining experience.
Will definitely be back.

Server was very quick and friendly. She knew in and out of the menu. She refilled our drinks when it was getting low. We had a toddler with us. She offered a separate bowl and fork before we had to ask. Very attentive. Food tasted great. Left home happy. I especially love the chicken pho.

1st time try their chicken. My friend recommended me the boiled chicken from them. The very special yellow skin vietnamese chicken style. I had online order thru their toasttab site. Very quick to be picked up.
Food was really good. So so good.
* Half “bone-in” chicken with 3 different sauces 4/5: Chicken with skin on . The meat’s so soft and juicy. Goes well with the ginger green onion topping. I really like it. They also include some side broth. However i have to cut out one star because it seems like they forgot all the sauce which comes with my chicken order as mentioned on the menu.
* side of shrimp chip -$1 1/5: just normal. A little burn and not shrimp flavors. It’s just bland crispy chips! It will be perfect if they use the better shrimp chips.
* side of innards – $1 4/5: varieties of chicken organs. Still has some smell you can recognize immediately when open the box. But it’s cooked very well and soft, easy to chew.
Very friendly, nice customer service 5/5. The girl at the counter who handled me the food was so kind. I asked her that why they don’t sell chilli sauce anymore. She knew i like chili oil so got me some extra. I did not do dine in and very quick check around the restaurant interior. Nice clean store. Comfortable atmosphere for next time dine in.
Overall, good experience for to go order except the missing 3 sauces i want to try. Food is good as expected. Highly recommended for trying the real Vietnamese food style.
The restaurant locates in the very busy area with many other good restaurants. If you are around elk grove. Give it a try. I wish they will open the one in closer to my house so i can go more often. It’s 45 mins away. But for sure i will stop by again whenever i come to elk grove.
Last thing – With missing item, i was not completely satisfied with my order however i want to leave 5 stars still to support the business and more ppl know how the good Vietnamese

I have my lunch at Saigon 88 today. I ordered what my son recommended, the #2 Saigon 88 Special with boneless chicken. The noodles and the soup are excellent. The chicken is not the best compared to the other chicken dishes restaurants. But I love the noodles the best. I don’t care about the chicken. The chicken is okay with the dipping sauces.
I like the dining room. It has good natural light from the windows in the daytime. The service is fast and friendly.

This place had no customers. We were the only ones inside. A young man wearing blue latex gloves came to hand us menus and take our order. Not polite nor friendly. This restaurant has very few variety to choose from. Their menu consists mostly of chicken. So we placed our order. When he brought us our food, his thumb was inside my bowl of soup with his dirty blue gloves. When he placed the soup down on the table his thumb was fully submerged into the broth of my soup—he was still wearing those same blue filthy gloves. I was hungry but suddenly I lost my appetite. The other bowl of soup was quite bland. Just tasted like boiled chicken with very little salt. The soda was good though! We didn’t say anything, paid and left. Went next door to eat instead. Much better experience next door.
If you’re wanting more selection I recommend going elsewhere. I hope they hire friendly people with customer service skills.

The best chicken pho I’ve had. They’ve had a recent update to their menu as well so check it out!!! If you’re a big eater like me and do fresh noodles, I recommend an exrra side of noodles. If not, do thin noodles. But definitely 5/5 for me. Go and support!!! ♂️ ♂️

The presentation and atmosphere are spot on. We enjoyed the music and decor. Service was top notch. We just wish they toned down the salt a bit. Otherwise this would be nice to finish our broth. But the pickled jalapeño were so good and spicy . Definitely coming back to try Hainan Chicken Rice next time
