I had an amazing experience at Taste of Silk Road in Fairfax! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The lahmacun was perfectly thin and crispy with so much flavor, and the Adana kebab was juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right.

It was especially amazing with their fresh hanmade ayran — such a perfect combination!

You can really taste the quality and authenticity in every bite. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving real Turkish flavors! ✨

The Kofte kabobs, Sucuk Pide and Adana wrap were all delicious. The Kunefe took us for a surprise. It was crunch, chewy and sweet! Definitely a dessert for multiple people. Three of us only finished 2/3 of it. Host person was professional in telling patrons of their limits of the day, giving recommendations and being attentive in service. He was surprised that we ordered Salgam, a turnip carrot somewhat tangy, vinegary, salty drink. Yum since we like that sort of flavor.

Only disappointments were: 1-the Turkish tea. It was nice and hot but not strong flavored. 2- certain appetizers and soups were unavailable. Not sure why. 3- because other chef wasn’t there to cook the Chinese/Asian portion of their menu, we saw two families leave. We were here for Saturday lunch. It was sad to see since the Turkish food was delicious. Maybe do town tasting fairs or festivals promoting the Turkish side of their menu. In any case, we will definitely come back for the Turkish food!

MIM’s Taste of Silk Road in Fairfax never disappoints! The food is absolutely excellent – the Royal Laghman remains my all-time favorite, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented (I only wish I had a chance to snap a photo before I completely devoured it! ).

I was so thrilled to see they’ve expanded their menu with even more authentic Uyghur and Turkish delicacies, all bursting with flavor and freshness.
There are several great Uyghur restaurants in the area, but this one truly stands out for its variety – from hearty traditional dishes to breakfast and brunch offerings, which is such a big plus!

The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the gentleman who served me was incredibly kind – he even offered complimentary tea, which made the experience extra special. You can really feel the pride they take in both their food and hospitality.

If you’re craving genuine Central Asian comfort food made with heart, this is the place. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Four of us came here for the first time for lunch and shared a variety of dishes. We loved the food, the service was great, the portions generous, and the prices very reasonable. There are so many interesting dishes on the menu, there’s something for everyone.

Food tasted great. They had enough vegetarian options. We got the Spinach Pide, Veggie Fried Rice, and some cold noodles that I forgot the name of. All items were great. I also got a Falafel Wrap to go, which was amazing as well.

We went during a slow time, so we could linger and enjoy the food without rush. The pide was fabulous and the Uighur kebabs and cold noodles very authentic. A good selection of drinks on offer, vişne and ayran and şalgan, among others).

I had the royal laghman and pearl noodles and i loved it! The pearl noodles were so easy to chew and I loved sucking up the noodles from the laghman! I also had the kasandibi for dessert for the first time, and I loved the soft texture. I will definitely come again!

Sad to say, HUGE difference between Sat PM and last night. Last night, Falafel was “mid” as was the Kabob. The salad that was so amazing Saturday was nearly inedible last night. I can overlook having to say 6 times, please have it ready for a specific pick up time, but to have the order not even started when we get there? This was basic – hard fail. Even the Naan: look at the pictures, night & day. I guess you need to ask first who’s in the kitchen.

I’ve been traveling to Virginia for about 10 years. Since most of my visits were short, I usually went to only a few specific places. This time, however, I’ve had my longest stay so far—around 8 months—and I’ve ranked this place as my top choice.

For us, the atmosphere and décor are not very important. What matters to me is that the food matches our cultural taste, is flavorful, and that the service is good. Yes, the tables, lighting, and ambiance may not be very authentic, but the food is generous, tasty, and close to the flavors we are used to.

In the end, we come to eat and leave, so I definitely recommend this place for its food quality.
