What a lovely place! The food was absolute delicious (probably the best falafel I’ve ever had) and beautifully presented. The space was also very charming. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!

Rare is it that I order takeout and the food is this phenomenal, but somehow the service was also 1000/10 in our 5 minutes inside picking up our food. An employee came from picking fresh figs, and offered some to us which was such a delicious treat. The inside is also so very very beautiful. We ordered the hummus, baba, grape leaves , tabuli, chicken moothawama, and lamb kusharia. Their grape leaves had us salvating on the drive home. It was all absolutely delectable and the portions were large and generous.

The most delicious lamb kebabs I’ve ever eaten, perfectly seasoned and flame grilled. The lamb is moist and tender, organically-raised on the Oregon coast. The chicken kabob was also juicy. Fresh salads, tabouli and sides.
Crispy buttery baklava for dessert, like no other. My stomach felt so content
The owners are hospitable and sincerely welcoming and the premises are spotlessly clean.
Prices are good too.

I’ve been here twice now and it was wonderful both times. Delicious food, friendly service. I really went back because I couldn’t stop thinking about the Lamb Kusharia, which I got again. Now I want to go again so I can try something new. The guy who I think owns the place is so nice. He surprised my date with a little plate of baklava on the house at the end of the meal, which was a really nice touch. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed the lamb salad today. The lamb was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right.The vegetables were fresh and crisp with a hint of mint. The pomegranate lemonade was refreshing on a sunny day. Can’t wait to come back!

Ali is a wonderful host. We’ve eaten there twice in the past week – once before a Christmas concert, and then again with our extended family (10 of us) for a late lunch. The two meals were very different and absolutely wonderful.
For the first meal we had a hot and cold mezza and then individual entrees, all of which was delicious and bountiful. (My leftovers from my entree was enough for two more meals at home.)
For our family get together, Ali set up a long table for us and we ate family style. We didn’t have to order anything. Ali brought course after course of amazing food – chicken and lamb kebabs, appetizers, salad, pita, falafel, a chickpea, lentil and rice dish, and a delicious fried potato dish. The really nice thing about it was that the vegetarians and vegans could eat everything except for the kebabs. It was the most easily inclusive family dining experience we’ve ever had. My brother-in-law plans to return very soon – he said the falafels are the best he’s ever had.
I highly recommend Kabob – for a lunch or dinner out, or for a big family or friends gathering.

Everything about this place is high-quality. The food is so fresh and perfectly seasoned. We’ve eaten here many times and we are never disappointed. The falafel is off the charts and the lamb is divine. The best part are the owners. So friendly and welcoming and generous. It’s a perfect community restaurant. Oh wait! And one last thing. Hands down the best baklava EVER!!

How do I give Ali and his Chef and team 10 stars?? We had my husband’s 40th surprise birthday dinner here with almost 30 people and Ali was SO incredibly helpful and receptive. He knew how to host that many people and the chef did a *perfect* job with the food (plated dishes!) for that many people, ready in a timely manner. They also added balloons without me asking and it was such a thoughtful gesture. The food was spectacular, the service AMAZING leading up to the event and during. Good lord, I’m so happy with this restaurant, people & food – I could go on and on. I will shout from the rooftops for people to go to this restaurant:) THANK YOU ALI/CHEF/TEAM!!!

I have been to many Middle Eastern restaurants all over the country and pretty much all of them in Portland. I was blown away by the quality and value of the food at Kabob. The food was absolutely fresh and of top quality. The owner/chef, who is incredible personable and accommodating, uses lots of fresh herbs and spices, and everything was made from scratch, beautifully presented and perfectly flavored. The atmosphere is lovely as well. I can’t wait to go back! Try this place. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing! Exceptionally clean and welcoming. The food was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed everything we ordered especially the grape leaves and chicken dishes. The baklava was the best we’ve ever had. The service was second to none. We would eat there twice a week if we lived here, Portland is lucky to have such a wonderful restaurant.
