The food was old, chicken was hard and stringy, the shrimp was so dry you could not take the shell off. I asked if fresh food would be coming out soon as the buffet was awful. The waitress asked and told us the woman running it said no more food would be brought out until what was their was gone. The salt and pepper chicken and shrimp had no shrimp in it. When I asked why the buffet bar had no heat to keep the food at temperature, I was told it had not worked in years. The woman running the place was rude to her staff. I heard her tell them she didn’t care how long the food sat out there, and she would not put anymore out until it was all gone. You could taste the old oil the egg rolls were cooked in. For 45.00 I had rice and a few pieces of broccoli because from the honey chicken to the paper steak I could not find a piece of meat worth eating mostly hard and dry. My daughter had 3 plates of oranges because she could not eat the first plate of food it was so bad. I will never eat their again. Another couple who came out at the same time had the same experience. As I was talking to another gentleman outside who said ” no you don’t want to eat there.” I asked an employee why the health department had not done something about the food bar and food. We were told she was friends with them so she got away with it. But that is just hear say… we are at home now and none of us feel well from what we did eat. If you want to throw your money away, enjoy it. We will not grace the doors of this establishment again.

Food was good, chicken wings were good, meaty and flavorful… But you should know the buffet at 4 o’clock on black Friday, with a sweet tea ran me $17.98…… which is a little redunculous knowing thats what the BIG BUFFET in Greensboro or Burlington will cost… This is a small buffet with no shrimp dish, but only peal and eat regular sized shrimp. If the crab rangoons had been OUTSTANDING, instead of just meh, I could see it, but this was not the case today.

Been coming here for years. The past couple times has been pretty bad. Complained but got an attitude even though I was nice about it. Will not be returning. Definitely finding somewhere else besides here I was able to give negative stars I would rice was mushy chicken was hard And the woman was absolutely rude when it was very nicely brought to her attention. Easily the worst case of food poisoning I have ever had. Take out might be different but don’t do the buffet. The food sits until it sells and gets very old. Chicken was dry and stringy beef was like rubber and everything else just had the flavor of sitting out too long. I’m just trying to warn everybody that you could get very sick here. Don’t do it.

I’ve had “extra protein” jokes before, but China Wok took it to a whole new level. We ordered honey chicken… and apparently the honey attracted a whole cooked roach right onto our plate. Yes—cooked. As in, sautéed, seasoned, and served like it was part of the recipe.
I didn’t know “Honey Chicken with Roach Reduction” was a menu item, but here we are.
Needless to say, we lost our appetite faster than that roach lost its life. If you’re craving trauma instead of takeout, this is your spot. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and pick literally anywhere else.
Bon appétit? Absolutely not.

I will never order from China Wok again. When we opened our order, we found a roach cooked into the honey chicken. Not just in the box — actually cooked into the food. Absolutely vile and completely unacceptable.
We had to throw everything away, and honestly I’m sick to my stomach thinking about it. This is a serious health and sanitation issue, and it makes me question what’s going on in their kitchen.
Save your money and your health. This place needs to be inspected immediately.

The food was awful.. place just seems dirty and grease every where. Two employees arguing and being mean to the waitress. Its not worth going to and way over priced for the food they serve. The waitress was very nice that was the only good thing about this place.

Today was the first and the last day I will visit this restaurant. The buffet was the smallest I’ve ever seen. So I’m like ok, since it’s small, maybe it’ll taste delicious….uhm, nope. Lo mein was over cooked and bland. Chicken on a stick, overcooked…Why does the Chinese restaurant’s food not taste Chinese??!! How does that happen? Everything was over cooked… ♀️ The only thing I enjoyed eating was the banana pudding. That’s all. Even the fortune cookie is bootleg. My husband didn’t get a fortune in his and mine had a slit of paper in it with most of the words cut off. Do not recommend!! I thought it would always be reasonably priced for such a ridiculous food spread, but y’all already know…
