Stopped by since I was craving fresh pad thai. The lunch special was really good, around $13 for noodles and a variety of rice/curry platters. I got the pad thai and the chicken wings ($13 during lunch) and it did not disappoint. The pad thai is crazy portions, filling up a huge bowl with huge pieces of chicken. I’ve had better pad thai, but it was pretty good and the portions made up for it. I ate maybe 1/4 before taking it to go. The wings were crunchy and super yummy.
The waitress was amazing and was working alone and was so quick and productive.

Such wonderful service! There was a full house when I arrived, and was greeted warmly at the door while the server skillfully juggled multiple tasks. She sat me down right away and remained attentive throughout my visit. It was impressive to watch her manage everything seamlessly as the only server there—truly hardworking and kind. Thank you for your great attention!

The lunch menu was just right for my appetite, though I’d suggest serving curry in a slightly bigger bowl—it was filled to the top, making it tricky to get a good balance of curry, meat, and veggies in each bite. The Thai tea wasn’t as sweet as I usually like, but I’m always up for trying new flavors. I’ve passed by this place many times, and I’m glad I finally stopped in to give it a try!

Hands down the best Thai spot in Castro Valley! The staff here are truly the nicest people you’ll ever meet—always welcoming and attentive. As for the food, it’s consistently delicious. The Pad See Ew is cooked to perfection with that smoky, savory flavor you want, and the wonton noodles are a total comfort food win. Highly recommend if you want quality food and great vibes!

Great place for lunch! Sumptuous meals with huge portions. We were the first group (4 pax) to be served as the resto just opened at 11:30am with a noticeable steady stream of customers. Fast service and the lady who assisted us was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Foods were reasonably priced and tasted good: chicken satay, pad thai, pad kee mao and so on. Loved the cozy atmosphere and impressive decor. Street parking available near the resto. Love to dine again at this authentic Thai restaurant!

1st time here, just walking in smelled delicious. It was during dinner rush, so I waited a few minutes to be seated. Great menu. I wanted to try everything. I had the fresh rolls with shrimp. The peanut sauce was amazing. Also, I had the chicken pad thai very tasty, and it’s definitely a sharing dish. For dessert, I had mango and sticky rice yummy. I will return to try the rest of the menu. For my gluten-free people, I did see a menu for you. I am not gluten-free.

I tried Top Thai Restaurant again after 2 years, as it used to be my favorite Thai spot. This time, I ordered Fresh Rolls, Spicy Fried Rice, and Thai Iced Tea. The Fresh Rolls used to be outstanding, worthy of 5 stars by themselves, but this time the rice roll was too hard and chewy, making it difficult to eat. The Fried Rice had an unusual color I haven’t seen at any Thai restaurant before, and the taste was awful. While the Thai Iced Tea was good, the main dishes were really disappointing.

I was just around without a precise plan to have lunch outside so I thought I wanted something quick. However come on, why not have Thai which I haven’t had for a few years now. My wife looked up on maps and we found this place kind of randomly. It is in fact in a pretty convenient location. From the outside, nothing special I thought. I found the inside pretty cozy, with character. It took a little for our order to be taken but the food was delicious, very good. We were even given an extra roll for the wait, we appreciated it. The soup was very good. I know they also do takeout and participate to those services where a driver picks up your meal and takes it to your place. I instead believe the food should be eaten in the proper way at the restaurant and I had a very good time here. Unfortunately I don’t recall exactly the name of the products we ordered so I attach the pictures here
