Today, we had a lovely and enjoyable day at the Taxco restaurant. The food was very good, and the service was excellent. We were served by Emanuel Bonilla Sosa, a very polite and dedicated person. To me this place had more of a bar vibe than anything else. The service was good but the food was average at best. Maybe it’s a good place for a drink but not really a family establishment. I say this because the restaurant part or at least what I saw was very small. They had loud tv playing football with a super crowded bar and people cussing and yelling

We have been looking forward to this new restaurant opening and tried it for the first time Sunday evening.
The service we received was outstanding- Emanuel was our server and was professional, genuinely kind and very helpful in helping us order.
The fresh guacamole was next level delicious and the tamales were so yummy and definitely made in house. The enchiladas were severed hot and the sauce was perfect.
We met the manager to let her know how impressed we were with the outstanding service, food, cleanliness and warmth of the restaurant.
We now have a great new local favorite Mexican restaurant- thank you for a great meal and wonderful experience!!!

Since the new ownership came in I have been dying to try this place. We live in the neighborhood nearby and was really hoping there wasn’t going to be a miss. This place has really good food. I got three tacos, my son got the fajitas and my daughter got the cheese quesadilla. The salsa is good and not too hot but has a nice kick. One thing I would change, and I don’t know how I would but the seating arrangements could be different. I’m really just not picking at this point. They offer outdoor seating so it will be nice this spring, summer and fall. We will be back!

I went in with my family and I believe children eat first and they were very quick with my daughter’s food. Drinks never ran out and our food came out really quickly too. Service was well above excellent. This is my second time eating here and we will continue to come here. Great job everyone

If you are used to a typical Taxco experience do NOT go to this location. From day one they’ve charged the same price as the other locations and give you half the portion size. Not an exaggeration. Given them grace assuming it was because they were new but it’s been a while and nothing is changing. Will charge you $7 for half a cup of cold queso and don’t include enough food in an ACP dish for more than a taco or two. It’s a shame because Taxco has been a family favorite for a decade so we were excited to have one so close but it’s been a pretty big disappointment. Make the drive to Mint Hill and skip this location altogether.
