Pretty damn delicious deli! We were walking around Halloweentown and came in. Walked in the warm heated shop and ordered one turkey hoagie. Didn’t know what to expect and it was the perfect sandwich. Large enough for my husband and I to share + a cup of broccoli soup. Top quality ingredients which you can assume by the market product they are selling. The generous portion of meat and cheese, shaved lettuce, the fresh bread= a sandwich we wish we could have weekly. So far one of the best we’ve had. The guys are friendly and shop is clean.

Oooo this sandwich was so good. Got the special, they were nice about accommodating my no horsey sauce request. The sandwich and jus were piping hot, the bread was crispy but soft inside, and the giardiniera was fresh and tangy. Cool vibe in the place, nice and chill there on a Sunday afternoon in February. Will definitely stop by here again!

The Pretty Nice Deli in St. Helens completely lived up to its name — it was pretty nice in every possible way! My sandwich was incredible, fresh, and full of flavor. The whole place has this fun Simpsons theme that’s just adorable — from the decor to the Simpsons arcade game that looked like so much fun.
I loved sitting at the bar, eating my lunch, and watching The Simpsons on the TV. It gave the place such a relaxed and nostalgic vibe.
Dessert was just as perfect — the cannoli was crisp and perfectly spiced with no soggy shell in sight, and the cookies were fabulous too. I also really liked that they have open drink fridges, which made it easy to grab exactly what I wanted.
The owners were super kind, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. I can’t wait to go back — this spot is a total gem in St. Helens!

Wow! Stopped in randomly while out on a little solo excursion from Portland. This place is QUALITY through and through. I love the vibe and tbh, it’s worth the drive to have a sandwich this good. I ordered (drum roll please) the TBH, on a gluten free roll, even though I didn’t really know exactly what it was going to be. It was so SO delicious. Can’t wait to try all the rest! xoxo.

Oh man, these sandwiches are delicious! My husband ordered the Turkey, and I the beef. We intended on sharing half & half… but we each liked ours so much we refused to share. The fresh cut quality meat, fresh semi-soft cheese, fine shredded lettuce and house made giardenia (or however that is spelled). The bread was perfect. The exterior firm, yet soft… the perfect bite.
They also had a nice small little selection of dried pasta (the good stuff), sardines, sauces, etc.
We’ll definitely be back, very soon. Maybe even tomorrow…
Update… 4 days. It took 4 days before we found ourselves ordering more sandwiches because we couldn’t stop thinking about how perfect these were. And if the last weekend of Halloweentown hadn’t been going on, it’d have likely been sooner.

My spicy pork Sandwich was outstanding, from the heaps of meat to the amazing housemade sauce to the fresh sesame seed hoagie bun!
But the show stopper was the apricot ameretto cookies! They were all kinds of deliciousness, from the remarkable crispy outside to the perfectly soft inside! And the amazing flavour was transcendent!
Certainly a reason to stop in St. Helen’s!

I’ve tried the Pork, TBH and Turkey subs. My favorite of the three is Turkey. It’s the most balanced in my opinion and left me very satisfied.
The subs are generously sized for the price and the ingredients are very fresh and great quality. Usually lettuce on subs can be hit or miss, but their finely shredded lettuce is soo good! Then you have the pickled veggies which add another level of flavor and crunch in every bite. The cookies are great too!

I had heard good things so I went in and asked them to make me their best turkey sandwich and it was off the charts! Baked goods are fabulous to boot.
Personable owners, they are carrying an interesting, upscale selection of goods. Dried pasta, olive oil, capers, burrata (yummmmm), jams etc. Coming soon is a cold and freezer case with a selection of sauces, fresh pastas etc. One of the owners has worked in high end Portland restaurants- they aren’t playing.
Stop in, support a new restaurant. Take your sandwich and sit by the water.

Great food, super cool owners. True fare for foodies — high quality, everything is really fresh and flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and made to order. *Great prices too.

Man where do I start, I had the beef hoagie and 2 cookies one chocolate chip with a lil extras and a apricot cookie with powdered sugar on top. Those cookies were some of the most fire cookies I’ve had, The sandwich is a perfect ratio of meat, veggies and bread. It also tastes amazing, the atmosphere was cool too with the Simpson’s arcade machine and bobs burgers on the tv. Will gladly go again
