Hidden garden is a hidden gem here in torrance. It’s a place where you can bring a date and have good thai food, without breaking the bank! The lady server was so helpful and accommodating. Atmosphere is upscale. Food.. awesome!

Ps. I forgot to try their mango sticky rice. Will give an update once we come back for it

I’m so happy to see more Thai restaurants opening up in the area, and Hidden Garden Thai Cuisine has quickly become my new favorite. The restaurant has a beautiful modern design with cozy lighting, making it a perfect spot for a date night or a nice dinner with friends. It feels a little more upscale compared to most local Thai spots, but still very welcoming.
The staff are super friendly, attentive, and happy to explain the menu or make recommendations if you’re not sure what to order. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and plated with great attention to detail. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients. The flavors are bold but balanced — not overly sweet or salty like some places.
One dish you absolutely must try is the Mango Sticky Rice. Their version is unique because it has a hint of pandan flavor, giving it a fragrant twist that’s different from the traditional style. It’s one of the best mango sticky rice desserts I’ve had anywhere.

Quick tips: There’s plenty of parking in the plaza since Hidden Garden shares the lot with other restaurants and shops. Definitely save room for dessert — the pandan mango sticky rice is a standout.

I have not tried the food yet. I visited this place two times, the first time it was smelling very bad, like if the kitchen exhaust fans were not working. Today i tried to eat there and the guy with the tattoos on his arms has been very rude. I’m the one that pays for the food so I will order my food as a please. I told him to bring a glass of water to every customer that walks in. so I ordered the water and a thai tea in a to go cup. He said if you eat here, we won’t serve you to go. I just walked out. we we’ll be taking our money where we want. I hope they close and go out of business without me even ever trying it once. The Vietnamese restaurant next door is very tasty. The Hispanic guys at the Vietnamese restaurant are extremely nice. Fire the tattoo guy as soon as possible. He should greet people with a smile and say welcome.

Every Friday, I like to check out what’s hot and new on Yelp in the area, and that’s how I came across this new Thai spot. We decided to give it a try — it’s located behind Walmart, near the On & On. Honestly, we weren’t sure what to expect since the location’s kinda sketchy, but when we walked in, we were surprised. The place looks really nice inside it was way nicer than we expected. I think it used to be a pretty dingy Vietnamese spot, but they totally revamped it.

We got there around 6 pm, and there was just one other table seated. We ordered Thai tea, the roti curry appetizer, crab and shrimp fried rice, and the shrimp wonton soup. The roti and curry came out first, the roti was crispy, buttery, and perfect. The curry was super coconutty, definitely sweeter than I usually like, but still really good.

Next came the shrimp wonton soup. I grew up eating shrimp wonton in the 626, so my standards are pretty high that being said, I’ve never actually had it at a Thai place, so I wasn’t expecting much. But it really surprised me! Presentation was on point. The broth was a little lighter in flavor and the noodles softer than I’m used to, but still really good. I do wish they had red vinegar, instead, the server gave me hot sauce.

Just a little tip though, the hot sauces have no labels, so you have no idea how spicy they are. I added one to my soup and almost burned my tongue off. It was the spiciest thing I’ve had in a while… and I’m Korean!

Overall, everything was good, but the crab and shrimp fried rice was the best dish. They put a lot of real crab, and it was perfectly seasoned. Honestly, I’d go back just for that fried rice.

Each dish was around $20, which is pretty standard for Thai spots around here. I’m definitely going back, gotta try their Pad Thai next!

Eat here for the first time. Service was great and the preparation of the food was quick. Every dish came out piping hot. I had the duck noodles, which was one of the best I have ever had. The soup was flavorful and heart with a rich herbal taste. There was a hint of hot spice which built up the more you ate it. It was really good. Tried a few bites of the crybaby noodles. I gave four star due to the fact I haven’t tried a whole lot there yet.
It was nice to have vegetarian and vegan options for some of our party.
I will be returning to try more.

Hidden Gardens is an absolute gem. TJ greeted me with a warm smile and used my name every time he checked in—such a simple touch, but it made the experience personal. He suggested the Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup, and wow, it was phenomenal. I was craving comfort food (perfect timing, honestly), so I went all in: shrimp and crab fried rice, roti with extra sauce, Thai tea, and that unforgettable Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup. TJ laughed when he saw it was all for one person, but every bite was worth it—and of course, I have plenty of leftovers because the portions are generous.

Everything was a 10/10—rich flavors, perfect textures, and a true taste of Thailand. I’m picky about Thai food, and this spot nailed it. The atmosphere is serene, with beautiful decor, soft music, and even more beautiful artwork — on TJ’s arms.

If you want an authentic Thai dining experience that feels both elevated and comforting, Hidden Gardens is the place. I’ll definitely be back.

I think this is the only Thai place I can bring my parents to. No major complaints from them, which is a damn near impossible feat. Will need to come back to try the specialty dishes. None of the food was too sweet, salty, or greasy. Lovely atmosphere for a dinner. Plenty of parking.

We got the Panang curry, Ka Pow fried rice, and Pad Thai

Great find! Unexpectedly nice vibe. Dropped in for the first time for a simple weekday lunch and had their lunch combo which included an entree, salad and drink for $19. The Pad Thai was very good. I liked how it was plated with the bean sprouts and chives separated so you combine them with the noodles as desired. The salad was also a step above with fresh mixed greens and grape tomatoes. Finally you could choose a soft drink with refills or a tasty Thai tea/coffee without refill. Like I said the atmosphere was especially nice with a tasteful contemporary feel and soft jazz playing in the background. I definitely plan to return.
