We came in as a group of 10 and had the best meal ever at SOBO Kitchen & Bar. We tried the octopus carpaccio, scallops, shrimp ceviche, Korean short ribs, and lamb vindaloo — every single dish was outstanding. The new menu is impressive, and the presentation made everything feel special.

Service was just as great as the food — attentive, friendly, and seamless even with a large group like ours. We’re still talking about the meal, and everyone in our group agreed we’ll be back again soon. Highly recommend this place!

Last night I went here with my mom before we were heading to illusions. I had a SPLITTING headache like couldn’t eat, couldn’t talk, it was rough but I wanted to push through to the show. Our waitress, a saint of a woman, was the most helpful and kind person. She gave me Tylenol and was actually concerned which was just so kind. I didn’t get her name but I want to say she was my saving grace and by the time I got to the show my headache was gone and I could actually enjoy it.

ALL the staff there were so nice. The ambiance was great and the food (I finally ate it when I got home) was delicious.

If you are the waitress who helped me THANK YOU you really are just a wonderful wonderful person.

Food, staff, service, all incredible if I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Today was the Ravens game, and everywhere was packed, but I stopped by SOBO Kitchen & Bar for brunch — and it turned out to be the best decision! The food was amazing, service was great, and the whole experience was just perfect. Big thanks to the new owner for bringing brunch and such a great menu to our neighborhood. I’ll definitely be back soon!

So I just wasn’t impressed by this place
I was expecting it to be more than it was‍
Only thing that was amazing was the flourless chocolate cake.

The food was okay and it was lacking a little bit of fresh salt and pop off flavors.
The mussels were 4 stars as well as the spicy feta dip but what gave it 3 stars was the entrees.
This place seems like a good spot to get beer and wine ONLY since they don’t have a full bar and some happy hour food.

My sandwich was good but it was drenched in oil from the pesto pasta salad.

My friend’s steak potatoes and spinach was good but needed some flavors and salt. And I’m not even crazy about salt. Oh and the steak camber out medium even though he ordered rare…
Plus the spinach was just warm which is annoying. The waitress tried to take my friends whole plate away to warm up the spinach but we ended up putting it on a plate and they came back with a new one, thankfully they didn’t microwave it.

But overall if I lived closer I would go back probably but with all the competition in the area I would go somewhere else.

Stopped by the place for brunch today and it turned out to be the best decision. Food was incredible and I think the new owner used to be a head chef all around the world so could definitely see that in the quality of the food. We tried the crab cake benedict, chicken and waffles, and shrimp and grits, every bite was spot on!!

Great service and excited to try out more food items in the future!

Sobo Kitchen & Bar is an amazing spot! The food is absolutely delicious — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The place is very clean and has a great atmosphere, perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. The customer service was excellent; the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend everyone to try this place — you won’t be disappointed!

Yelp is never wrong! What a great gem in a quaint Baltimore neighborhood. Food and drinks were excellent and Sarah behind the bar was amazing (even though shes Air Force… go, Navy…haha) You can tell they take pride in all they do!

Let me start by saying that Sobo used to be one of my favorite spots in Federal Hill, but unfortunately, the quality has gone downhill.

I went for brunch yesterday, and honestly, I would’ve had a better experience at Dunkin’.

I ordered a coffee with cream on the side, but they didn’t have any, only offered cold milk, and the coffee itself was so watered down it tasted like dirty water. I couldn’t drink it.

Then came the food. I specifically asked for sourdough ( it was an option in the menu), but what I got was just a plain slice of packaged white bread you’d find at any grocery store.

To top it off, the service felt inexperienced and inattentive. Overall, it was a disappointing visit to a place I used to love.
